Your reward is that you can run the upcoming dungeons because you do have the gear available.
You have the freedom to spend all the additional gold that you gain for whatever you please, while others do spend their earned gold on gear. The amount they have to spend on gear just got smaller.
And the event is in no way as dramatic as some people here pretend. The vast majority of the playerbase will get next to no return.
Some may get extremely lucky but most players will not. Thats why it is called luck.

It's a new experience even if it's the same game. I love the series, love the combat, love the intentionally vague story. Even if it was absolute garbage and did absolutely nothing but recycle old stuff, it is still more refined than BnS, in all honesty. I only played BnS for friends and pvp, the former are all quitting, the latter is completely unbalanced, and I've played at a high level on three different regions, so I've had enough time to decide which game I prefer more.

That being said, even the absolute best game is just filler for the next rehashed shillfest, but I'll play it all the same.

Ignore accessory for now. Just keep all the purple ones that have "evolution material" along the way, so later you won't have to backtrack to upgrade your accessories once you get a hold of some golds from daily quests.

Most of the blue "breakthrough ones", even tho cost a bit of silver, you'll just get it off the marketplace and move on with your life.

It'll be a lot easier to catch up with accessories later because you'll be able to buy as many fodder from the marketplace as you need. Unlike hoping for it to drop while you need tons of it for all the 3 parts.

If it procs, how many times on average would it actually matter? There are 2 situations in which the new ruby makes a difference, 1 crit & no crit, or 2 consecutive no crits.

So I changed my character a bit. Just made him look a little less pouty and more alert, and I removed the face tattoos. Also changed the proportions, but I'm not set on that yet.

This event is really rubbing me the wrong way and I wish it weren't such a blatant pay2win cash grab. Still managed to buy all of my expansion slots and I'm holding out hopes for better rolls down the line though...

There are games being developed out there run by people who loved old school mmos that still have that effort=reward structure anon wants, but they tend to be underfunded and not very pretty to look at. Iften times they end up dying from lack of interest/lack of money.
