In the quest where you head up with lambert to the circle of elements, investigate the boys voice and then fight the foglets.
All of the foglets are invisible and none of them seem to be the real ones. I've been swinging at fog like a retard for several in-game hours and I still haven't killed any of them. I'm on NG+, I dont remember this bullshit on my first playthrough. I just watched some guy on youtube do it too and he could see the foglets just fine and he killed them all easy.

Is my game fucked or am I just bad?

Some people act like their own personal feelings about a character merit affect the outcome of the story. The Witcher series isn't supposed to be a fucking anime where people have waifu wars and best girl threads. That's never how the story was intended to go. The Witcher is a story about destiny and finding the place it sets for you. Geralt and Yennefer are bound in a love forged by destiny. That's just how the story goes. It doesn't really matter how you feel about Triss. If you want to ignore the actual story and play out your own shipping fantasy instead, that's fine because CDPR gave you an out to do that with. Just know that some people (the real fans) just value the intended story above all else and play the game in accordance with that mentality. So I'm currently playing the series in reverse order (3 to 2 to 1). Finished the third game and I fucking loved it, plan on playing it again when I'm done with 2 and 1. Started 2 yesterday and I'm only a few hours into it, liking it so far. When does it start to get really good?

They were showing this quest during one of the earlier presentations. Both choices were presented and in the end of the presentation there was an ending card describing how the events unfold much later (possibly a part of the much longer outro they planned at one point). Helping Sven lead to the village perishing in the war (maybe in the Nilfgaard conquers the North scenario), while helping the Elders made the village stronger and make them survive the war, but they still bound to the Leshen.

Still, leaving the leshen alive did make sense to me (since the ritual actually did work), they do not seem that bad per se, whereas Sven clearly was an ass (as shown by him killing off the Elders). Regardless, I think either way is justifiable, although I do have some suspicions that many players killed the leshen for the achievement/mutagen, rather than for plot-related reasons.

Do you usually go for a two-round win? That isn't my usual strategy, I almost always go for three rounds. Do you always play NK? I had a very nice playthrough playing mostly Nilfgaard, and although that might make me a filthy traitor, I enjoyed it very much. Monster and Scoia'tael have never worked for me, seem severely underpowered.
How's your view on special cards, btw?
Have you made any use of the HoS cards? I think the new leaders add a nice new dimension to the game, it's just a bit bad that they get added so late (if you don't rush it).

Yeah, I play NK 99% of the time because of the bonding, and it generally being most satisfying deck with spies and high scores.
I almost always try to win the first round. It's nice to get an extra card and it gives a lot of leverage as their hand is forced, and I know they can't tactically pass in the next round. The medics are used in the second round the recover any losses.
As for special cards, I only use 3 Decoys and 3 Commander's Horn since I focus on bonding and feel confident I'll always out-score the opponent in brute force. Before my deck was complete tho, I used 3 of each weather card and focused on Hero cards for points instead.
Haven't bothered with the HoS cards, at least not with my main deck.

Interesting. Maybe I'll try a more forceful two-round win approach... I usually play fairly laid back, since it's pretty nice to draw them out in the first round and then pull off a bait & switch, usually you get to reuse the spies, too (unless the player is too shitty to even have medics). Esp. with Nilfgaard and tactical use of spies you can practically use your whole hand (more important there than in NK I should think, since you'll get fewer points overall).
How well does the two-round win fare with monster decks, btw? Since they usually go all out (even in the first round). I always thought it smarter to let them burn their good cards without sacrificing too much myself, so they become really easy to beat ultimately.

Yea, monster deck opponents usually go full retard in the first round and are perfect for baiting and passing. Tho, It is easy enough to beat them in the first round however, if you use use shitty ranged cards and have him pass with a big lead, and then use a biting frost. The Scoia'tael are the most annoying to beat, since they revive and use all your spies and are sure to use scorch against any combo you build up unless you're lucky and he's got a 20 point card on the board. I've even lost a few rounds to them with my best deck.

With Nilfgaard, I think playing against another Nilfgaard deck is the most tricky (since their advantages kind of cancel each other out), with NK, I don't think it has a lot of weaknesses except against players who scorch a lot (many cards with same value that will get nuked). I usually try to build up the deck to be scorch resistant, alas, you can't win every time ;)
The reused spies I usually like, since I wish to reuse them as well, if at all possible. Third round plays into that, too, of course, since you can use medic or decoy depending on what fits best. I tend to not use weather cards at all later on, except for maybe one biting frost, since that seems the most useful one overall.

"Iorveth's role was very important to the original script from 2014.He was cut from the game somewhere around Feb-May 2014, along with a lot of other content. He would have appeared in at least 5 main quests (Pyres of Novigrad. Get Junior, a deleted large Novigrad side-quest titled Scoia'tael, The Battle of Kaer Morhen, and Final Preparations). Geralt would find him in Novigrad. One quest would involve him hiding in a basement of a house in the non human district playing his flut (using the same song - Stella Splendens - from his intro in TW2). The in-progress asset list was very particular about that song, that quest would have also featured an Elven Portal, it's not specified what it would be used for.

A part of the cut Scoia'tel side quest would have involved Isengrim and two other Scoia'tel commanders. The only one that actually made it into the game was Vernossiel, the commander in the Woodland Beast quest. I doubt that was her original role, as Woodland Beast isn't mentioned in the 2014 files.
He would helped Geralt find Triss too. They would go to her house together. This makes a lot of sense depending on your choices in TW2, as Triss can save his life in the epilogue. No doubt that he would have felt that he owed her one. He would also have had connections with the criminal underground, knowing both The King of Beggars and Cleaver. They would also have been dialogue scenes with Roche, Iorveth and Geralt. A bug report from the Alpha states that the writers needed to further explain the relationship dynamic between them, and why they wanted to kill each other.
