If it's .xp3 file and no .xp3.sig files (the newer KiriKiriZ uses those), then ExtractData 1.20 will get you started. Look for newgame.ks. Then you just need the repacker for it, name it patch.xp3 and you're done.

Translating KiriKiri games is super easy. It's just a matter of do you or do you not have the dedication to actually go through the damn script, shit is really time consuming.

Hey how do i get cm3d2 to stop installing as x64? i just mount iso 1 then iso 2 and it installs as x64. im on x86 andi also see x64 needs a separate patch to get stuff to work.

Download the latest full update that is meant for the version you run (most likely x86), for instance cm3d2_up103_x86.zip (1.15GB). There are mirrors to the official patch in the CM3D2 discussion.
Open the zip file and copy all files and folders from <cm3d2_up103_x86.zip>\cm3d2_up103_x86\data\* to the root of your CM3D2 folder. e.g. C:\KISS\CM3D2 (yes to overwrite).
Wait for the copy to complete.
To play the updated game, right-click CM3D2x86.exe and select select Run with Japanese locale (you need HF pApploc for the right-click options (doesn't work with Windows 10 or x64!!)).
If you later want to play the x64 version you should get the x64 patch (for instance cm3d2_up103_x64.zip 1.15GB) and repeat the above steps, just using the x64 update instead of x86.
attention – information above will become obsolete, because KISS is trying new approach for updating game, therefore don't copy but use "update.exe" ("selector.exe")

When i put this shitty update directly into the folder and run the update, nothing updates. Checking the files to figure out what the hell is going on, I looked inside the Data folder and saw a log file. Opening it up, seems like it was spitting out an error saying "NetworkInformationException: Access is denied."

On a hunch, I decided to disable my firewall and lo and behold, now the game boots. What the fuck.
