1. Register on a private server that hosts the same game client you have.
2. Copy their realmlist URL. This can usually be found on the main page of the website or on their registration page.

We started on ToD because it was a newly released progressive Wrath server that had good raid scripting and active GMs/coding "team" to fix what was pointed out as broken. The leveling was bad the first few days (broken in some bad ways, broken is some WAY too good ways) but it's pretty fine now. Playing during NA times means either you're farming or you better be playing a class that can solo because the majority of the server is EU/Polish. If you can only play during late NA times then I'm sorry.

Leftovers is literally and precisely what they are since the raids are drafted each week to make a semi-working composition. Call it what you want but it's the leftover group and it changes somewhat from week to week. Keeping static groups is unlikely. Our raid times are slotted so that NA and EU can raid together. The raids end very late for EU players and they usually end up complaining about being tired.

Basically you go to a servers website and create an account with them, most send you a verification email. Then you need to have the correct game client for the expansion (1.12 for vanilla, 2.4.3 for tbc, 3.3.5a for wotlk, etc). You need to then edit the realm list to the server you want to play on (set realmlist "server of choice") which they provide to you from the website.
Then you run wow.exe (don't use the launcher) after all of that and log in with the account you made on the website.

Private servers are free.
There are optional donations available which can usually net you some nice items or services.
Accounts are set up for the servers, IE if you wanted to play Theatre of Dreams WOTLK, you'd need to make a Theatre of Dreams account.
The OP has a page where you can get clients from.
If you want to play Vanilla, the big server right now is Nostralius, with two /wpsg/ guilds (nosg now), one on each faction.
Just make a Nost Account, download a vanilla client, set the realmlist file to the right path, and log in.

Horridon phase 1 strat is just for everyone to stack up because his double swipe only does damage if you're at his side (outside of the indicator), on his ass, or in a couple of random spots inside the frontal AoE, but not in some spots because for some reason the AoE doesn't hit you in a couple of spots.
