And since unlocking the Sharingan needs a traumatic event which if you survive it is likely to give you more willpower, in the circumstances you would gain a Sharingan you would also undergo an experience that allows you to better resist his shit at the very least. And we know how the Uchiha always get preferential treatment from Kishi, so you have all the elements to them being able to getting out of that situation.
