Yeah I'll just stick to Ether. CC is stupid broken but w/e. And yes it's a sleeplock build that relies on potential. Knife's Full specs and Energy source is what pushes the 5 mil per hit. Black butterfly is just an added bonus with its ether res down. I'm actually in the Mastermind class (4 slots) since it gives the highest potential bonus and a small ranged attack bonus. If my gatling gun had potential XX on it I would probably deal 5.8 mil per hit.

I'm on the final Lao fight and my game must be bugged out because my skell isn't responding at all. It worked in the first fight with him, but now it just fucking stands there and won't attack.

i also use the C&C stuff for anything potential-related. every little bit counts, especially if you have at least one potential boost. even just one of those is incredible for stats if you specialize.

As others have noted, it's pretty predictable for Monolith as well. Even Xenosaga doesn't end with a completely clear resolution. This franchise has an outside chance if Nintendo forces them to stick to it, but we're not going to get any word about their next big project for at least a year unless they've been very busy with the NX.

And the question of if Mim's can reproduce is also left pretty empty. Unless they can, which is highly doubtful since their robots without DNA or such, humanity will gradually decline.

So I just finished chapter 12.

I had maxed out diskbombs with my level 50 formula with the missle mag, but the damage was so much that I ended up killing him the moment the message popped up, which is supposed to destroy skells.

Anyway, this chapter was fucking amazing. There is so much that I loved about this chapter holy shit. From the noah's ark, human conciousness, xenosaga references, Lao, and goddamn the cliffhanger ending made me even more excited. Tell me once again why the hell is the story bad, is it just because people hate cliffhangers? Because the there is so much meat and hidden detail in the dialogue, and so much you can think about, holy shit.

Xenoblade Chronicles never had these thought provoking questions. I don't know maybe it's perhaps because sci-fi resonates with me more than fantasy. But holy hell, I really enjoyed this chapter.

I was checking my records and noticed that my heavy hitter Six Stars sit at roughly 3M. I'd swear that I've seen up to 9M when playing with the cool mims.

Now that I think about it, the setting is kinda similar, a group formed to defeat ___ . You get to use mechs too, but only to fight harder bosses. Though I guess XBX doesnt exactly have a active enemy that goes around infecting the wildlife. Tainted kinda counts but was never expanded on, ganglion is more of just a enemy army or somethin'.
Character customization is also pretty huge for this kinda old game, could probably make my mim there if i wanted to.

Joker is a level 90 bug that is inside that giant plant in the Divine Roost in Noctilum. He's surrounded by other level 60 bugs.
Phoenix is a thermal back weapon that hits with an AoE. Since Joker and the others are weak to thermal, you can very easily KO all of them at the same time (Joker is also very weak).
Repeat multiple times for great EXP/class EXP gains.

Phoenix is a double-shoulder thermal weapon, you can buy it at the shop or as a drop from tiny ganglion robots, the puges, on Sylvalum's Basr Basin for example. I'd buy it. Equip it on a skell with thermal up armor, Mastema has it by default IIRC.
In northern Noctilum, at the top, lies a giant flower you can enter, within lies Joker a level 90 blatta that's relatively harmless, and like 16 blattas of level 60.

The doc assumes gear with "Ultra Infinite" prefix or the equivalent, which is the top tier of gear. There's a doc in the op that suggests recommended farming locations for Ultra Infinite armor and skell weapons.
General rule is that in order to always get the XV tier drops, you need to kill mobs or tyrants that are lvl 65+. Level 60-70 mobs have only a chance of dropping the XV tier stuff.

It's complicated because there are different prefixes for "Ultra Infinite" for ranged weapons, melee weapons, and six stars AM has their own prefixes.

For ground weapons, assuming the weapon can get firing range up, it's just a grind. Some traits are rarer than others... Try using phoenix on the blattas in Joker's flower and you'll get a shitty level 57 "Delta" tier weapon that has XII traits, that may be good enough for you. Otherwise, the best place are the Aquatic Visigels in Pharsis' lair (noctilucent sphere.) It's slower than the blattas but this gives you the "Ultra infinite" prefixed gear that will have XV traits.

Sphinx's are not a good thing to farm for weapons.

Also what weapons drop depends on your class, change to a class that uses the weapon and have other users of that weapon in your party. And have treasure sensor at 100, of course, so that you get drops with 3 traits more frequently.
