I did all 10 of cammys in 12 tries total. I think I even added an extra dp in one of her combos because that's how I did it in matches.

I did all of Alex's except no.7 in like 15 tries. I screwed up 7 a couple times.

Anyone has a v-reversal that he can use doing forward+PPP or KKK (depending on character) while in blockstun if they have at least one charge of v-gauge.

I don't think any of them can do it if they have v-trigger active (with the exception of Nash and Dhalsim whose v-triggers aren't timed and just have an immediate effect).
In the case of Necalli since his v-trigger lasts indefinitely you're giving up the ability to v-reversal once you activate v-trigger

Anyone else having trouble finding their main or sticking to one character? SFV is my first fighting game, and I keep switching around and I feel like I'm wasting a lot of time when I could be improving on a single character.

For instance, I tried Vega and found his links too quick to get out reliably in matches, and with no dp had a hard time against pressure. Tried Cammy since she's supposed to be good for newblood and has a dp. Trouble is I don't think balls deep rushdown is my style. What character plays a slow, steady pressure with decent defensive options, that isn't Ryu?

But you are right, doing so is gonna take a ton of time. Hell mode even with 1 hit KO mod took me 1 hour for 20k fight points.

Story and trials do get you about 300k even if you just dabble in them. But it is time intensive

I have "normal" W10 on a laptop, and I despise it. It's intrusive, cluttered, and full of crap I don't want.

The only way I found around this was getting a specific Enterprise version and then still running anti-clutter tools to get rid of OneDrive.

The art style is fine, the realistic look is fine, a big part of the problem is that the lighting is very flat and isn't providing a lot of detail when it could. Because everything looks so flat, the skin looks very plasticy and weird. The clothing looks amazing because the textures and bump mapping make it look real as fuck and has TONS of detail. It's all things that could be fixed, with better lighting the visuals would be drastically improved, and that's not even getting into whatever post processing effects.

I saw a comparison here once of both games were someone posted Potemkin model without their toon shader and it looked like garbage. I thought that the hardest part of achieving the Xrd look was the animations where they have different models for Millia's hair, Eddie and stuff but KoF doesn't have anything like that.

Normal mapping mostly, refraction mapping and parallax mapping too on shiny surfaces. Normal mapping is bump mapping but they use the srgb color space instead of black and white which gives substantially more detail without much more overhead. Things like SSAO and depth mapping help to make surfaces look non flat/plastic as well, though you could just bake in a shadow map which SFV does for stage backgrounds.

Old example, but the average character in Gears of War 3 had at least 12 separate texture maps overlapped. There's a lot that goes into texturing professionally.
