Is there a reason as to why Append 2 in particular requires some extra work to install? I am currently in Japanese Locale and Japanese Format while running it as admin and I cannot seem to get it to recognize that I have installed AA2.

I have double checked my registry, are there any other things that I could try? So far everything up until Append 2 has just been simple. I haven't installed the all inclusive updates yet.

packupdater basically injects files into the .pps You can do it manually but you have to decrypt the up_ files (iirc that's how they're named), decrypt the corresponding jg2*.pp and do the updating yourself. Don't know what you should do about the registry thing though. Don't think it'll work but try adding/removing the trailing "\" in the path in your registry entries.

I already tried the all inclusive first, however the FileCopy for the updates refuse to acknowledge my AA2 installation.

I installed each update one at a time to make sure that each was working and it worked that way up until patch 11 and patch 12.

I understand that it is difficult to see where each update file goes without seeing the logs however I am not even getting logs at this step. I was hoping someone else did so I can see them.

I assume there aren't installations with the updates already patched in without any mods?

Fuck it I caved in and took the easy way out by just getting the dongfire patcher and just installed the Official Illusion patches and appends. No idea why manually installing was giving me so much grief but it's over now.

It's ok. We don't use HF patch and some are very vocal against it but as long as you direct HFpatch specific questions to hongfire it's fine with me. Just remember that installing hfpatch is irreversible process so you should only install the official stuff and do the translations and mods with AA2Install. Also make sure it works before ANY mods and make a backup.

Skindentation is called daniku and it's a wizzard-ready mod now. It plays along nicely with thicker tighs & asses. It does conflict with garterbelts though.
