It's pretty good, you can do everything important except the Trading Post, which won't really matter to you until you're level 30+ anyways. If you're still playing and enjoying the game, then consider shelling out for Heart of Thorns. Don't buy the deluxe version, they'll just make you pay for it again if you eventually do decide to buy heart of thorns.

It's a little too soon to say this is a rush update to make up for legendaries, i feel like he made them start this earlier that that. They cut the maps a lot shorter. The typically hard/annoying parts (push block puzzle with dartwalls and the ice mountain) were also cut out. Makes zone 2 not an hour long endeavor now.

Is Heart of Thorns worth it? I bought the game back on release, but haven't played it much since. Venomshare is really poor dps.

While you get really crazy damage spikes with your venoms, you then do almost no dps as you wait for cooldowns. The alacrity nerf killed any hope for venomshare to be good.
