There's no need to change your keeper. Work on other players. Lucian can carry you just fine. In fact, I want to switch from Kei to Lucian if I had littres to spare.

5 stones of +15 6*, either common or rares. The center piece (first stone) will decide what element your unique will be. People usually use rare stones just because there's a chance the rare stone will evolve to a unique so it's like getting 2 things done at the same time.

Early on just use any stones you don't use for the combines. Don't forget to check for good substats, like 15% crit rate or 14% reflex or something.
