Interviewer: The short story The Last Wish (Ostatnie życzenie) is a long metaphor about being very careful what you wish for. The way to reach our desires at all costs can be full of dangerous Djinns, meaning unscrupulousness. Here we meet for the first time Yennefer of Vengerberg, who can also be a very dangerous sorceress. Love is born between the two but don’t you think it’s really too dangerous for Geralt to keep craving for a woman we find out to be not that reliable?
Andrzej Sapkowski: Ha! That’s what makes the story interesting, don’t you think? Being a huge fantasy reader, sometimes I find boring or disgusting the stories where the hero can have sex with any woman, because those women can’t wait to have sex with him. In those stories women are the hero’s prize, the warrior’s reward, and as such they have nothing to say, they can only moan and faint in the hero’s strong arms. I am convinced that only with contact with the other sex - wether it is cause of attraction, care, confrontation or opposition - a hero can fully grow. When I created Yennefer’s character I wanted Geralt to fully grow, but then I decided to make things complicated. I created a female character who refuses to be a fantasy stereotype. To please the reader.

Nothing marks you as an ignorant peasant as choosing Triss over Yen. Please stop, the game was not meant to be played like that, you're doing it wrong and as is the case with any self respecting fan of TW, it infuriates me.

As we all know Yennefer is a quarter elvish, her mother was an half blood elf. Her father (who was a human) was known to be very very abusive towards Yennefer’s mother and even more towards his own daughter. Now it isn’t anywhere stated that Yennefer was born a hunchback quite the opposite actually. It is stated in the novel Blood of Elves that the abusive behaviour of her father caused the deformation of her spinal column and scapula that caused her hunchback. Again Yennefer had elven blood in her veins which is how she got her violet eyes (elves or half elves like Ciri are known to have rare color of eyes etc). But it is also stated that this already caused her to be a little less appealing but not a hunchback because that was her father’s doing.

To really be a Yen fan, you must understand Sapkowski, you must become one with his work, you must lose yourself in the depths of Yen's character. Only then will you fully realize who is Yennefer of Vengerberg and why is she the best written character in literature.

Once you reach this superior mindset you will look at Triss like piece of human filth she truly is. You will notice your palate becoming more refined and sensitive, and tasteless bimbos like Triss will stop interesting you, and you'll only feel disgust for them. However, this disgust will eventually turn to hate and you'll be compelled to tell other people how horrible she is, and how wrong it is for Geralt to be with her.

Unfortunately this is a side effect of loving Yen, because such love must come at a price. But fear not, you will learn to enjoy it, it will even become a normal need for you, like thirst or hunger and sating it will provide great pleasure.

Precisely, though they did seem like a big threat before the battle of KM, they just were underwhelming afterwards.

Well, the battle in Novigrad was going to be ridiculous, Redanians, Nilfies, Skelligans and the Wild Hunt going at it, and the fight with Caranthir would have happened there, then Geralt has to teleport to the Tower on Undvik for the final showdown.

So yeah, clearly the engine or the fucking consoles could not manage that sheer ambition, which is a damn shame.

Radovid was kind of interesting in TW1 and 2, in TW3 he's pretty much a one-dimensional bad guy (or at least, that's practically all we see of him), which makes him a lot less interesting.

Doesn't matter. Recommended level for the expansion is 30 though.

The main map was extended for Hearts of Stone. Blood and Wine will be in a new area.

You can do side quests at any point, but due to levels it's easiest to do a mix of the main quest and the side quests together.
