AC6 has great gameplay though. Honestly, it really improves on the PS2 trilogy instead of being a carbon copy. It's everything a next gen AC should have been, just on the wrong platform. Best graphics in the series to date too, even though it's almost 10 years old it's way better than AH and Infinity.

The story is undeniably awful but no worse that AC5's. Everyone in AC6's story is really irritating, just like AC5, but it doesn't have those awful little nipple twists of plot details like AC5 does. There's no terrible shifts in tone like fighting the Yukes vs. fighting Belka, and the story is fairly straightforward and lacks AC5's obvious Frodos, even if it sucks.

Plus most of the terrible dialogue in AC6 comes from your wingman and people in cutscenes. Most of the other military embers you hear in-mission sound just fine, unlike AC5 where every mission's dialogue in burned into your brain like the sight of your blind date's morbidly obese and STD-ravaged genitalia.

AC5 and AC6 easily have the most comparable stories in the series though. A lot of people say AC6 is terrible and no one should play it because of the story, but the story is no worse than AC5's, and many people here enjoyed AC5 in spite of that, myself included. Is this for real? It seems too stupid to be legitimate but it's an odd choice for bait. Is there virtually anything in Pixy's conduct that implied he was not trying to kill you? He wasn't trying to "make a point." V2 wasn't a mean to an end, it WAS the end. The whole rationale was to destroy the powers that be and let something new be built on it's ashes. To "reset" the game from "zero." Pixy wasn't just disillusioned to the point of criticizing the system, he far enough gone he was willing to betray his comrades, fry PJ, try to kill you and nuke the world. That's what makes his relationship with Cipher so tragic and makes the "thanks, friend" line so meaningful.

Actually lots of belligerents from the Belkan War found work on the Usean continent. More than a few Assault Records aces are mentioned as having fought there, Belkan scientists are mentioned as having contributed to Stonehenge in the same records, that guy from Beast Squadron in AHL is from Belka, plus Pixy. There's also a Yuke Ace in ACZ with a paintscheme that's exactly identical to Y13's that has "no information available." Details like these are part of the reason people theorize that Cipher, Scarface, and Mobius 1 are the same person.

Man, I forgot how great Zero's assault records were. I liked the idea from 6 of having ones for both allies and enemies but there were just way too few entries. Plus 6 is the "current year" when played instead of the past, and since you can't really look too far into the future it mostly just talks about past conflicts. That's all fine and dandy but we don't really know anything about Estovakia's civil war so when it talks about the different factions and stuff we have no way to relate to it. ACZ's records talked about how the people fit into a world we already knew, but we don't understand the various factions behind the civil war and they're never explained to us. The records could have been interesting if they were explained to us, but they're not, so they're just confusing and meaningless.

With that said ACZ was written natively in Japanese and some of those more uniquely Japanese lines can't accurately be translated into English, and attempts to try sometimes confuse meanings more than they clarify them. "Here comes the snow" is apparently more along the lines of "it's snowing" in Japanese and is supposed to be some kind of artsy observation about the situation at hand.

Remind me again why bamco always releases the trailer a couple hours after the update hits when the whole point of a trailer would be to hype people up for what's to come? Once it's live people can just log in and see, and new people don't care because it's all part of the package they get when they install the game from that point on.

Mecha anime is almost inevitably shit because these 3 things always happen:

1. The only people who manage to join the army are pacifists who hate war and will complain about its injustice for the entire fucking show. If you're an ace pilot (as most protags are) this involves whining about how awful war is while mowing down enemies by the thousands and doing nothing to change your situation.

That never happens because Japs are a race of autists and hate new things.

Code Geass wasn't a story about things happening to Lelouch, it was about Lelouch actively going out there and doing things, as opposed to a protag hating fighting and piloting a mecha but getting in anyway because plot. Lelouch wasn't thrown into a conflict he hated and reluctantly fought, he created one because he needed it for his master plan.

The lackluster story of the Akito OVAs really highlights how central Lelouch was to the success of the original series.

But the "ASF-X" itself is an experimental plane, isn't it? It's supposed to be the prototype before the production model F-3. Like the YF-22 and the F-22.

So how do you have an experimental version of an experimental plane?

Also, in general why on earth would an experimental plane have higher stats then the normal version? Isn't the whole point of experimental models to create a working version of the airframe, then see what works and what doesn't and improve it? You sure? I MVP'd 2 out of the 3 sorties I just did, and the one I didn't was because my wingman was an A2G multirole and the other team was also an Attacker/A2G Multirole setup. I flew attacker for all of them.

With that said it does seem like there's lots of air targets at the end every time. That may change as people get more used to the map. It's a 4AGM paradise btw.

As nice (or relatively "nice") as that'd be, it's not going to happen because it sets a fixed price on them that everyone can see. If I told you that 1000 coins would be $500 dollars, you'd tell me to fuck off. If I have you spend some fuel and you get in the Top 200, you begin to think you've got it good. As other people catch up and you keep falling out, you start to panic and buy some fuel to keep in, since you're already attached to the idea of getting that prize. You begin to buy successive packs of fuel in your panic to keep up, and eventually you've spent $500 dollars without realizing it.

A combination of scarcity and mind tricks means that they can make a killing off of fuel sales to keep this ball rolling. If you could just buy the thing straight up, no one would think it was worth it. Even those who realize what's going on may goy out anyway for the bling factor. Only 200 of those Rena Flankers out there you know.

HVAA Makoto is good though. HVAAs don't need any parts since they start off with high speed and enough damage to one shot Fulcrums, so you can focus on your standard missiles and make them ridiculous.

HCAAs are trash no matter the map. Their reload speed is good but not great so you need to use reload parts on them for maximum spam, and if you're going to be like that why not just stack reload parts for your standards instead? That way you get a weapon that's just as spammy, but that also one shots Raptors and has super homing, and doesn't need a prop part either.

I wouldn't be that bad on it's own but there were a few other options that would have been way better. AC4 had some great music, I didn't remember this was even a tune until I looked it up.

There are other emblems like this too. Warwolf emblem play Dogfight instead of Release for example. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea? At least have it play GOTTA STAY FLY or something.
