Well some classes it's better to change to a DH instead of keeping them in their normal class since their Force Boost is better. ex: Gunner Alter Classed to Dark Hunter does more damage with Force Boost, Burst Shot 10, Point Blank 10 than Regular Gunner does with Force Boost, Burst Shot 20, Point Blank 20

Another thing that can be done is Alter Class a Medic to Dark Hunter and give them an Ailing Slash grimoire. That gives the highest damage potential to Ailing Slash.

Dark Hunter's Force Boost multiplies damage by 2. Fafnir's Force Boost multiplies damage by 1.5. Alchemist's Force Boost multiplies damage by 1.65 if the enemy is weak to the element. Gunner's Force Boost technically multiplies damage by 1.6. Highlander's Force Boost multiplies damage by 1.5. And Landy's Force Boost with Fencer 20 multiplies damage by 1.65.

You can see how Alter Classing to Dark Hunter can help boost damage since their Force Boost is better than everyone else's.

If you liked the demo, then buy it. I recommend buying U1 before U2 because of the great changes U2 made. Also, I don't recommend starting with EO4; it's not a good representative of the series because it removes the difficulty entirely and doesn't focus enough in dungeon crawling, instead it takes a more casualized RPG approach. Avoid EO4 and EMD like the plague.

Something like that could work. Keep in mind Surivalist's force boost fires trace arrows as followup attacks that count as standard attacks for triggering Ronin's chaser and are compatible with preludes to trigger elemental chasers. Highlander's Bloodlust works the same way, but unlike in EOU1 only provides one possible extra attack. Also I think you can slap a prelude on Ronin's chaser to have an elemental chaser trigger as a followup to it, though you're better off using one chaser at a time. Speaking of Preludes, those go great with Landshark's double attack and crit boost.

So yeah, your party could run a Landshark, Alchemist, Troubadour, and any one or two of Ronin/Highlander/Survivalist.

A tank is optional, but if you're running a Palm Alchemist you want someone who can cover for them, Scapegoat and cover skills can help with that if necessary, as can shield skills. Beasts are neat since you can boost their HP with one of Troubadour's buffs and then Force Boost to get it even higher, also don't forget you can stack Shelter Song with an Element resistance if a particular element is giving you trouble.

Buff breaks can heal while raising force and their effectiveness is based on skill level, Beasts can remove binds while restoring a bit of HP, Alchemist has the TEC for using Medic skills effectively(even if their VIT is questionable), Survivalist has access to inexpensive out of battle heals/revives.
