Theorycrafting, tell me your idea.
Inferno SRMs have ammo close to NARC/ton, so they need to be used sparingly to get an edge in a battle. They do 2Heat/sec per missile for 5 secs (so 12hps for SRM6)
Maybe a slightly shorter range with a minimum arming (don't want to burn yourself)
I also want to give them a retarded balance quirk- a rack that fires Infernos becomes hot. You can fire it on normal cool down and risk a misfire (damage/hps equal to the volley that was to be fired) like a UAC jam, or wait twice the normal cooldown for a safe refire. This prevents Inferno spam from stun locking like Flamers do since they don't generate excessive firing heat like Flamers do. Thoughts?

When I was a kid my dad had HUGE fresh and saltwater setups, he was a Discus breeder for a while but he had a lot of everything.
I never really got into fish outside of a few forays with Killis and he scaled down over the years, but I helped him set up his 200 gallon reef lately. It's coming along really nicely.

Is artemis always worth taking? A few threads back someone suggested a 1ppc, 2 srm6 and 6mg build for the Shadowcat. It's far more fun than a pair of lpls but I cant decide whether to go artemis or take a heatsink and TC - I dont usually use the srms over machine gun range anyway

Clan SRMs are even more spreadworthy than IS ones- so yes. Damage that doesn't hit where you want is shit damage, and you want holes for your MEGAGUNZ to bore into, anyway. If you're gonna be that close, you can also swap to a LPL instead of the CERPPC anyway. Both SRMs and CERPPCs tend to spread hits normally anyway, and MGs are cone-of-fire.

I mean obviously ECM is better but when you have 6MGs with RoF quirks they cease to be a shit weapon system and become decent aside from the cone of fire. They do decent enough damage to armour with that many MGs, and when they don't have armour on a component they might as well just kill themselves because you're going to annihilate them.

This is a pure fun build, not any kind of meta build. I'm not arguing for it to be better than 2LPL, or even UAC10 + 2ML, but it's pretty decent and criminal amounts of fun.
