Alice dying at Part 2 and ending the game can very well be considered a proper ending. Thus, some people decided that was the ending and Part 3 was a bonus, or a ridiculously lengthy bad end epilogue

I used the torrent on PB, which was listed on the MGQ pastebin. It's listed as Parts 1-3 and 100% translated as well, so I'm guessing that it's the same one hosted on Mega? If the file size listed on Mega is right though, then there's a 200 mb difference between that one and the torrent.

I never thought of it this way, but it'd be good to compare her to Homura from Madoka Magica. There's a lot of similarities to their circumstances, and how their circumstances shaped their subsequent attitude. The thrust of my comparison was that both went through years' worth of suffering in a very short time, constantly being confronted with their inability to save those they cared about. As a result, both made drastic changes to their attitudes and how they do things because that nice softie shit wasn't getting it done.

The parallel DOES further extend to them both concluding that they need to control things themselves to force change. Erubetie trying to become the Monster Lord for this purpose, Homu becoming Homucifer, because they can't trust Humans/Madoka to protect what the two of them respectively care about (Slimes/Madoka).

The Ilias Continent is not the most accessible place for monster travel.

To wit though, the slimes DO set up a village there a stone's throw from Iliasville, in Paradox. So it's just incidentally a very low pollution area, which is why Luka encountered a weak slime there.

The problem in the main timeline with it would be the humans freaking out and murdering a buncha slimes.
