I took Meryl for a quick run through BBI, Gazer, Bishop plus Daimon 2.0.

She acquitted herself pretty well, used Hailstorm to interrupt, Fivefold to pelt from afar. Fracture was a bit sketch, but it's a tricky skill so that's understandable.

She was a bit lacking on the brainsplitter and had a tendency to spam Cutting Wind on Living Armour, not sure if that's a bug or not.

I ended the run by taking her to the very top of BBI for a nice photoshoot.

Then I jumped off while carrying her. Splat.

Marina, 140, sorc, been posted here before, but I recently changed her inclinations to try and make her more aggressive. Seems to have worked for me, I'd be interested in what others have to say.


Simon, 135 ranger, haven't shilled this pawn here yet, this will be the first. Also recently changed his inclinations, but he's been working well for me so far. Might seem a bit weak, since he's using gold forged dragons glaze, he'll beef up a bit with the last 65 levels of gains.

With all the talk in the thread about getting bestiary stars and kill counts, I wonder: does anybody know if kill counts carry over along with all the other knowledge a pawn has if you use the exploit to keep what they've learned when starting over?

Well, it's a step forward at least. Most of the time I'm up in the front lines soaking up most of the damage. Did she run out of stamina a lot? I noted that she went full tenfold spam on Ur-Dragon a lot, and never bothered to stop to recover stamina.

Though I wonder if she'd engage at even further ranges if I made her a Challenger/Pioneer?

Huh, that's weird, Morrigan climbs too. No, I don't ever use 'Go' in combat. I use Help (for buffs from Anna generally) and Come sometimes, if they're off fuck knows where. I've only seen them climb Elder Ogres I think. Maybe also a dragon at one point, but I think I read in one of these threads that there was some bug regarding pawns climbing BBI dragons.

I don't think she needs neutralizing, getting Grand Fulmination off in close quarters against an Elder Ogre is very hard and bringing it down is definitely the quickest way to kill it, especially if I already have Brontide out. I'm not sure if pawn AI is really sophisticated enough to make that judgement though.

Sent Trepira and Anna back to the rift, gotta head off so figured you deserved the RC from the quick Death kill I got.

Both pretty good, it's hard to really notice a Mage since their spells aren't as flashy flashy as a Sorceror, but she managed to take on a living armour pretty nicely with Comestion.

I'd say give her Grapnel over Frigor personally, since Comestion and Levin will cover all angles for elemental weaknesses in BBI.

She can also carry a lot of Blast Arrows, hue hue hue.

Autism got the better of me while farming Death, and I decided to keep track of how many cursed items he'd drop. One hundred kills later, I had 32 Gears, 45 Novelties, 48 level 2 armors, and 4 level 3 armors. No weapons in all that time.

Considering that Death is supposed to be fought in multiple encounters, this haul sucks. It makes me wonder if Capcom realized players would figure out how to cheese him, or if they're just terrible at deciding what rewards are worth it.

Okay then, I finished leveling my poor pawn to 100, she's 50/50 ranger/fighter so her stats are pretty optimal.

The real question is should I run her as a Strider with rusted bow or full blown damage ranger with tier 3 weapons?

I'm really only interested in hires and I don't know what else other than Sorcerers is desired at higher levels. Rangers are great when they work, but Striders can at least rape face with Helm Splitter if they do decide to engage in melee.
Whoring out pawns is harder than I thought, no one is hiring her ever since she was a fighter which doesn't surprise me since they are worthless in BBI.

The first room in BBI 2.0, garden of ignominy. If the saurian spawn is there, death is the necrophage, if goblins, garms. Go in and out until the saurians spawn, then clear it out. Death may spawn. if so, be a strider or ranger, and cheese him with blast arrows, conqueror perries, and five fold/ten fold arrow.

Pop a weal item right before he dies to double XP. When he is dead, save, then godsbane and retry. You'll respawn right after you killed him. Run to the next room (duskmoon tower, where youfirst met Barroch), then run back. If your bait is still up, he'll be in the lower courtyard. Repeat as necessary.

I'm a Mystic Knight and my pawn is a Fighter right now because I'm giving her some level ups before I make her back into a Sorcerer. I just tried to find a corner to hide and ready Abyssal Anguish and then wailed on it.

Also if I had a pawn use Maelstrom I'd be too afraid and confused to tell whether it would be my pawn's or the Pope's since walking into an enemy maelstrom is basically instant death.

And holy shit Abyssal Anguish is such an amazing ability, and it looks cool to boot. I just wish that mystic knights could move while charging spells because they get staggered really easily and stone jungle takes a while to charge.

I played 1-80 as MK once because min/maxing is for gays and I could play as any class without being weak or strong

Any good fighter can PB and avoid damage, it takes a while but a fighter with cursed light can solo them.
Strider/Assassin with heaven key can also solo all 7 of them
Ranger with Glaze.
MK has it so easy, its like fighter but takes less than half the time.
MA? they are a joke.
Sorcerer? lmao.
Even mage can solo the 7 LA spawn with comestion.
Warriors got to face tank it because not enough i-frames, they have to Lash them because Arc gets blocked and they need 800MDEF to even try to take a few hits from them, which is almost impossible to get with red gear.
