Sapper Anon here! Sup bro!

Sapp is pretty awesome. Stokades does great damage and broom trap is super good in dungeons, especially now it's only got a 40 second cooldown.

The only downside is that most traps (other than claymore) don't hit flying mobs. Claymores are also pretty expensive (300 silver a pop) so you won't spam them as often as you want.

Other than that they're super fun to play. It's great to use Detonate Traps to nullify boss traps. The gooks love it when I destroy the necroventer's silence traps for example.

Stockades and claymores can't kill later mobs on their own fast enough, claymore is especially shit as you progress. I know you can do shenaningans and it's fun to play, but you really want to kill those magic mobs asap, not to mention the flying mobs you'll hate to the end of your life.

If only they fixed Spike Shooter and Collar bomb it'd be a great class, but no one seems to bother with sapper 3

Collar and Spike deall some nice damage at max level, but that's it, they have other fundamental flaws.

having a Chrono in your team it's pretty OP if the other team doesn't have one, mostly because of the running speed, you can do more hit&run tactics and avoid damage

also chrono rushing the enemy team and casting stop is pretty broken

If you don't abuse the things chrono provides, then no, chrono would be sort of gimped because it's lacking a lot in damaging potential, but right now it's pretty strong, it depends on the team abusing their strengths, physical classes get a lot of benefit from chrono as well.
