I just made a small update.

Sound Fantasy Romancia is a fucking expensive as hell CD, but the 'original sound version' of the stuff from that game is a medley on the CD itself.

I decided to do a PC-88 Hoot rip of the sound from that game and added it. It's tiny, but I figured it was worth adding so I spent a bit of time this afternoon on it.

Technically all I was shooting for was a creepy pedo grandfather bit, but that you got incest out of it's amusingly interesting.

Although the games are supposed to be 100 years apart or so (and humanity keeps suffering cataclysms setting it back that exact timeframe) from what I've heard, so assuming an average childbirthing age of 20-25 that's 4 to 5 generations between each game, which assuming there's no other inbreeding should result in enough family tree variation to stay out of the incest zone.

That whole timeline angle seems hokey as heck, though, so I just assume it's the same scenario playing out over and over again through iterations.

They're descendants from an ancient people who had power over the runes/runeys, who've inherited some of their powers.

The ability to tame monsters, use magic, communicate with the ancient dragons and farm well are all indicators of Earthmate heritage, though it is possible for someone with no Earthmate heritage to do one or more of these things (though generally not as well), and some other groups like elves and dragon priestesses, can do one or more innately.

The only 100% Earthmate things are the remnants of their ancient magic, like the Seal of Fiersome, which can only really be interacted with by Earthmates.

So I'm trying to get my level 10 gold crop in RF4 to get gold juice.
I chose potatoes because they have the shortest growth cycle and planted them in the winter garden.
Will Greenifier and Formula C work after the first application to the soil/plant or is it only to be used once or twice?

Greenifier and Formulae can be dumped en masse until you hit the caps of +2 QL and 5x growth rate, but going from nil to max will wreck the shit out of your field's health so you'll need to get some corn or clover in there to counter it. After that, you can usually top it off every week with the basic versions of the items and the field should be able to handle that fine. And potatoes are fine for that request, as IIRC I used them too.

Thoughts on RF:Oceans (Tides of Destiny)?
Got the undub and I'm liking it so far, about 5 days in.
I always thought farming was somewhat annoying so I'm interested in seeing how this new farming system works out.
It makes befriending monsters more integral to the game too so I'll be checking that out more than i did in RF4.
The game seems more focused towards exploration so I'm excited about that.
And that golem is pretty sweet too, I got to fight a giant squid.
Also, the waifus are pretty nice.
Combat seems pretty decent too.

How soon should I save Venti? I've kinda been putting it off to try and get into Margerets panties. Summer just started.

It's definitely worth a playthrough. I enjoyed the completely customizable house(s), the ability to own and build on up to 20 plots of land, and the wide variety of marriage candidates available. If you want to play the game as a female character be sure to get the GC version of the game, because they gutted that in the Wii port.

Game also has some big FPS issues(on the GC, haven't played the wii port), usually around certain areas of the map, but it's pretty infrequent and shouldn't interfere with your ability to enjoy the game.

I really like the opening cutscene and the Enter [Character] scenes.

Now I kinda wish there was a RF4 animu.
