Unless it affects i-frames, which From isn't stupid enough to make that mistake again, it'll just affect probably 1-2 weapons that scale off of it, and item discovery.
If you've got some spare stat reroll items it might be good for grinding out an armor / weapon set though, but useless in pvp.

Always though Artorias just tried to traverse the Abyss but got more and more corrupted the deeper he got and then at some point he just went full corrupted and became what we fought

I can't quite pin point what it is but every attack in DaS3 feels weighty as fuck, it's like I can feel the impact

Because he never wanted people to find out that it was all a fake. Sticking Fagtorias in front of the throne would have been a huge tell that it was all phony because Artorias was consumed by the abyss, not chilling in the throneroom.

I haven't got even a single invasion in over a week. No messages, not even bloodstains.
I should mention I'm on PC, DaS 1, LVL 140. Tried Oolicile, The Forest, Anal Rodeo, nothing. Even on my other build for jolly co-op I can't find anything.
Changed my region to Luxemburg, restarted DaS/Steam/router a couple of times. What else should I try? Please /dsg/ save my casul ass one more time.

I haven't tried Ivory King yet, but Iron King is pretty solid. Fume and Alonne aren't the most interesting ideas for boss fights, but they're still damn good fights. Iron Passage is kind of shit though.

In BB you can twink with chalice gems, which give you the damage output to 3-shot endgame players while story gem'd +10s require twice as many hits to kill you and the +6 weapons most midgame players have can't even hurt you.

Damage differences where massive in BB which gave twinks a huge advantage against unprepared hosts in a game where invading was based entirely around twinking.

There was also a lack of spammable, viable ranged damage so ganksquads couldn't just lock you down under suppressive fire like havelmages in souls games can do with soul arrows and dark orbs. If some blt weenie wants to gunspam you, you can just mash circle until they run out of bullets since every ranged option sharing a pool of 20 uses is a much harder limit than the ~50+ casts of spammable damage spells that every ganking mage carries.

It's important to make a distinction between realistic gameplay and good gameplay.

Realistically, a medium shield protects the entire front of your body because in real life because you don't swing your arm past the shield. You keep it firmly in front and only move the blade past it while moving the shield around a bit to protect from incoming attacks.

However your character doesn't do that, so realistically your character should get wreckt because he fights like he's never used a shield before.

But that's not good gameplay. Getting hit because characters don't know how to use shields is stupid. (I'm obviously excluding shield poking from this.)
