Yeah, it was kinda bad. It wasn't awful, but it was obviously their first attempt at a roguelike.
As you would expect from a roguelike, they tried to encourage you to pick up new weapons as you go along in dungeons and consequently get yours destroyed or discarded in some way. However, the fact that you could take your weapon back to base and upgrade it way past anything you would ever find in a dungeon made this completely irrelevant.
And all the bosses were balanced around you having a crazy weapon like that. So if you ever, ever lost your crazy weapon, you were forced to load your last save because there was practically 0 way to recover from that.

But the TLDR is:

Elminage original has some translation issues with Dwarf and gnome getting their translated names swapped. Other than that, the games sound like fun.

Really, what killed Oreshika for me was just the repetitive dungeon diving.

Sure, he could randomly instagib people with that one attack of his, but other than that I never felt like I was seriously in danger of losing. Lorence's arena fight was a lot more tense.

Wasn't a bad boss fight at all, mind you. I was just expecting it to be way more dangerous after the meat grinder that Hard had been. No clue if Evo changes things either.

The final part where it recharges all your CP and lets you kill him with a hail of S-Breaks was such a nice touch. I grinned like a retard when that happened.

What's the point of multiplats on a vita?

It seems like that's the only thing the vita is getting now, but there's never been a case where the best version is on the vita and it's usually way overpriced compared to steam/piracy.

Hard was a lot of fun, aside a few fights that got kind of bullshit (and areas before I got Haze quartz). Sticking on normal for SC is the way to go, tho. I started it on hard, got to the first boss, saw my melee attacks hit him for 0 and promptly restarted.

How're you liking the game overall? I thought Chapters 1 and 2 were a bit on the slow side, but 3 picked up nicely and the final chapter was great.

I just beat its true form. Its finally over...that last one was rough.

Enjoyed the game greatly. Took me many years to actually get into it but it turned out fantastic. Yeah Chaps 1 and 2 were slow but it definitely picked up, and things flow so well once you start getting attached to the characters, and I'm ultra attached at this point. Gonna grab SC Evo tomorrow.

This is weird considering how they're planning on getting physical copies out of the earlier Ateliers (as well as Shallie).
I think the only reason why it wasn't included is because they're going to couple Sophie with the rest of the physical copies once GUST and LRG settle things. They save significantly more money that way.
