All before chapter 10.

Beware of Reina's group when you go to stop the Thief. Effie can probably draw them over, but what I do is feed Niles a Strength and Skill tonic, then once I've dealt with the Wyvern/Knight pair-ups, Niles gets healed to full, pairs up with Camilla, and they go to either the top-left or top-right tile of Reina's range (NOT the top-middle), Niles sits in the front of the pair-up, and kills on the counterattack. Might need an HP tonic, too, but most likely not. Once Reina has moved, the Cavs will all start moving toward your other units, and then you can just have Camilla and Niles fly down to stop the Thief once the coast is clear.

might as well give the rundown of my cripple Lunatic team because i'm bored

Corrin(+DEF/Ninja)xCharlotte(Zerker)

This isn't optimal(i wanted to be special and not do STR ninja like a smart person). That being said, having survivability on Corrin helps a lot at certain times. STR still gives DEF though so I'm an idiot. Charlotte helps Corrin have monster strength and Lethality is super unreliable but extremely helpful. Replicate is silly. Cav is probably better overall but this build certainly works. I'd give it a go if you aren't doing Charlotte/Xander like a sane person. Charlotte was instapromoted and never actually fought. Kana sucks.

Effie(GK)xSilas

Effie got monster level ups at the start so I did the logical thing and benched her a few times so that I could make sure other people get married. This was a mistake. Her decent defense could have helped a lot lategame and I shoulda had her go General so that Wary Fighter made mages murder her less. Silas was benched for Sophie, and Sophie mainly ferryed Effie around.

Elise(Strategist)xOdin(Swordmaster)

Odin got insanely good levels at the start and then just stopped getting them. I put in the effort but it just wasn't worth it. Ophelia is alright and her paralogue gives good spells but mages just suck ass in this game anyway. Odin did alright midgame and provides insane pairup boosts to Ophelia but it was not worth prioritizing him over other units such as Niles. Elise doesn't even need to get married anyway.

Niles(Adventurer)xCamilla(Wyvern Lord)

Had Camilla as Malig Knight until level 15 because the bolt axe is actually really fucking good for her. Fox map woulda been a lot easier if I was smart enough to have her go WL earlier though. She's good, no question there. Niles was planned to be replaced by Nina but Nina kinda sucks. Make sure that Niles gets EXP because pass Wyvern Lord(due to marriage seals) is super important to not die on Endgame. Also capturing.

Kaze(Master Ninja)xBeruka(Wyvern Lord)

Kaze gets strength, defense, and movement. Midori is a cripple but that doesn't matter. Kaze is super useful midgame and can keep up later on thanks to debuffs/lethality. That's about it.

Xander(Paladin)xAzura

this is a stupid pairing. Don't do it. Both of these characters are good units, no explanation needed. Have Xander get Luna ASAP. Shigure can fly and use staves, that's great. Siegbert comes at the ass end of the game so he's not too good.

LeoxFelicia(strategist)

both of these units are helpful midgame. They are still usable towards the end, unless Leo decides "fuck stats all I need is skill and resistance". Even then he can do chip damage and abuse Heartseeker. Felicia is a full on support unit lategame and that's alright. Forrest is another Elise.
