The silver debuff is pretty minor and your damage and accuracy are still better than with steel weapons even with the debuffs active(if barely).

Steel is terrible when you're just barely slower unless you have Wary Fighter, but if you're already faster than the enemy by a significant amount or too slow to not get doubled by everything ever it won't matter at all.

I actually find myself using bronze stuff a crapload since accidental crits can sometimes be as dangerous as getting hit by a crit, sometimes it's better to soften up a few thing and clean up on player phase than to let everyone rush in and gangbang a killing machine, who will either eat all the exp or die trying to.

I just bought gamecubes FE Path of Radiance for 90 bucks. Never played any Fire Emblem before. Is it worth it guys?

Dual weapons are pretty powerful, especially since they double WTA effects. They have nice damage and crit rates even for neutral targets, though. The D rank weapons that do extra damage on the melee weapons they normally have WTA on are also pretty brutal.
