Not really. You'll have to somehow re-bake the bump mapping onto the actual 3d models, and there's no telling how much is just visual cheating and actual 3d modelling.

If anything, if you rip the models, you still have to put them through zbrush and model in back the surface textures manually if you don't know how to hack the files.

I'm afraid to ask because I'm sure this'll sound stupid, but I'm not as familiar (I wing it) with how to play the game well and I'm stuck on the chapter 9 fight against the two cat people in the big skells that are level 36 and 35. I tried dragging the difficultly down to make them lv 29/30 but still no dice. I uh, have the one basic skell that I've upgraded with the best stuff they had at the shop. And I'm level 36 and have Elma/Rin up to 34'ish. Everytime I get close to beating them, they break one of my skell's appendages and it's gg for me at that point. Just... um, any ideas? I'd rather save my money to by good skells instead of the mid-range 3mil skells.

The 2nd terminal doesn't sell skells at all, it lets you construct them out of parts/materials and Miranium.
You get the recipes for three of them from Affinity missions, and all the others and unlocked by completing the game.
In fact, building the one you get from Alexa's final Affinity MIssions and then selling it is actually one of the fastest ways to make loads of money because they have such an insubstantial material cost (ticket wise) compared to their sell value.

Yoy can buy G-Buster and Phienix from the shop, though if you get better ones that's even better. They can drop as Galactic and those have better attack and cooldown.
For armor, you could try the one that boosts Beam damage from the shop, too, and fill the rest of slots with Beam weapons.
Customization for non60 frames is rather limited, and the stats never really go high enough to make an impact. You don't have access to the heavy hitters, like Sharnaak's back lasers or x60 drones. If you have diskbombs with mag size, equip them.
I'm sure there's better advice than this but despite all the time I spent on my 50 I never managed to get much out of it, that'd require endgame augments.

Go to Starfall Basin where you started the game and constantly farm Daril's Qmoeva for armor parts. Alternatively start farming Chantai's Galdr and Armed Engineer Galdr for armor parts when you finally farm good weapons.

Playing online is fine, especially for tickets to shortcut around material requirements. You might need to do something to your wii u's connection if you're getting disconnected frequently. That stopped being a real issue for most people last year. Remember you can also return to the title screen from the settings menu instead of rebooting the game.
As for the freezes, just save the game before you open the hangar menu. You don't really need to open the character pages for anything since you'll work out where people are fairly quickly. Everyone except maybe Yelv is pretty easy to see.
