Yeah, I was surprised its another vandull shit, just now with decorative non sword wings.

If I had a scythe, I'd be livid that they're doing this shit AGAIN, as though the lazy ass glaive wasn't bad enough.

And Still, the whole vandull aesthetic of skeletal with edges is garbage for that damage shader they made and the ranges you shoot them from.
>>
Biggest ripoff in the crowdfunded game scene ever.

Let me tell you something, and I'll post the ToS if you are too crippled to find it. When you give them money, you are not "buying" a spaceship. You are not even "buying" a game. You are giving this company a "pledge", or gift, so they can build a game. You agree they may not deliver what they promise, and you agree they may not deliver a final product at all. You agree you cannot get a refund after 14 days.

The fucking thing will be, like, 30 bucks if/when it ever does release. Don't give them money now when you have no guarantees. It's stupid.

They've been given over $110 million.
But they're still suckering people out of money by releasing jpeg's of new ships, when most of the current ships they've already sold haven't even been made yet.
Fucking amazing.
Also whatever happened to this thing?

will they be adding a procedural planet you can land on soon? I heard it's coming along much faster than they thought.

I'm pretty bored but I want to try out all the ships at least. Still not liking how ships blow up all at once now...

>>135538729
>The fucking thing will be, like, 30 bucks if/when it ever does release

they've already sold it at that price. And before you would get both SC and SQ42 for $45. Now they cost that much each. Only problem with this game is that it's taking years to make.

How many years before SC actually starts to look shitty and outdated and people lose interest? Or will cryengine updates make it look better?

Considering that Frankfurt did the procedural planet demo in like 2 months it shouldn't take that long.

>Considering that Frankfurt did the procedural planet demo in like 2 months it shouldn't take that long

The limiting factor is design. Using the Planetary scale does not fit the game's planned combat ranges, navigation, or physics.

Probably will just be wasted with autopiloted high speed cruise.

Shit's getting physically disappointing, with landing being automated by default because IFCS is twitchy shit.
>>
The sale of the Vanduul ships is stupid, and I don't quite know how people cope with it.

>oh, it's just a clone made by Esperia. It's not a REAL vanduul ship... the guns, cockpit, frame, missiles, and armor are all the exact same thing as the Vanduuls using the exact same game files as the Vanduul, but our new lore solves that as it being made based on new discoveries from the UEE military (...)

It's fucking stupid. Expect F8 lightning/Vanduul bomber sale in no time. They'll just say "The F8 lightning are just extra made from the factory of a overloaded order/the bomber was found and replicated by Esperia! Totally not us going back on our word for more money"
>>
>>135545725
They are in too deep to care
>>
>>135545354
If I remember correctly the plan was something along the lines of 'you can land wherever you want on uninhabited planets etc. but if there's some sort of traffic control you need to request permission and they'll assign you an approach corridor which you have to follow and IFCS takes over the landing if you leave it'.
No idea how they plan to deal with the physics though.
>>
>>135546820
Maybe you'll be able to click on a spot to autofly at

Then in theory you can fly at "cruise" speed to a different spot

Fact is orbital interactions demand at least 7-10km/s, too much for CIG's weapon design
>>

Some you guys don't, which is understandable, but I still have hope that they can pull this off. It will take them until 2018 to make it all, but god damn if it's even half as good as described I would love it. Hopefully 2.3 has another increase in player count to something like 32. Or rather a big optimization pass to allow more than 45fps.

I can't give up hope yet
>>
>>135548962
They'll technically make it, but it'll handle like as badly as a modern need for speed, graphics won't be very impressive either, and economy fucked over by fleet orgs.
>>
>>135549617
>economy fucked ouver by fleet orgs
Confirmed for not knowing how it will work in SC. Players won't be able to influence the economy that much, and this is to avoid the EVE situation where massive groups run the show. They'll have advantages, obviously, but it won't be at that scale since it can ruin the gameplay.

In Null-sec/pirate areas? Team or die.

What's so good about Unreal 4?
>>
>>135559190
UE4 overall has better base tools. It has better AA than CE, more support from devs, better particle systems, and I think it generally looks better than CE. I also believe it would have been better able to support a game like SC than CE would have, because CE has given the devs of the game so much trouble over the few years it's been.

He only had to wait a few months for UE4. A few months could have saved him so much trouble. It could have saved us so much worry.

It could have saved us all.
>>
>>135560079
Nah. There was no way he could have known UE4 was going to be released so soon or that it would actually be bretty good. Not with the announcements he had already made years before that point. And you can't just sit around the office, doing nothing waiting for something to drop into your lap. You've gotta do something, even if that means gutting an old engine and turning it into Frankenstein's Monster.

I agree, UE4 would probably have been a better objective choice, buy that's like denigrating the Germans for not making Stg. 44s standard issue in 1939.
>>
I really hope that this game does not fail.

If it does crowdfunded games in general will take a hit.
>>
>>135563219
That's my largest worry. Of course, faggots from the old general wanted it to fail for the tears of the people invested monetarily, but Star Citizen failing would deal a massive blow to gaming in general, especially crowdfunded ones.
>>

Cringey speech but whatever works honestly.

Having the corvette be as small as 100 - 110 meters makes it basically the optimal main ship for groups of 12 fighters to be commanded from like in those videos, since it'll be maneuverable and shit. Although first we need to see large multicrew ships work, so Starfarer next

They have no reason to stop if those retards keep giving them money.

I thought the madness would subside with the delays, the grey market being undercut and oversaturated. And yet there are shmucks ready to open their wallet again and again.

I fear Star Citizen has reached that critical mass where its presence sustains a cycle of new customers who mature to whales. Every year new suckers are buying a copy and eventually a fleet from belief in the dream.
>>
Why do people buy new ships when the starter package is the best possible deal? Buying better and more advanced ships is like throwing away game play. What are you going to do when Persistent Universe comes out and you already have the best and most expensive ships?

>but those are pledges to support game development
At this point it's pretty clear that they aren't just going to bag the cash and run off to some carribean island, so they might as well keep making money. The ships are going to get built anyway, and if sales might actually enable them to do more, good.

Play the game however the fuck I feel instead of grinding newfag missions in my poorora until I get enough credits to do what I actually want to do in a real ship.

It's not an RPG, ships have roles, if you want to mine you need a mining ship, if you want to chart the edges of systems you need a ship with enough gas to get out there and wander around for a while without heading back to refuel.

If you wanna do Org level territory shenanigans you need either a cap ship or a relevant support vessel. I don't intend to spend two weeks flying around in a space sperm for no reason other than to appease some sort of "progression" autism.

When people finally realize that the only way of balancing missiles is making them not simple F&F, anon. SACLOS by your turret gunner or somesuch.

Or at the very least, far harder to lock, using better signature mechanics.
>>
>>135594081
True, but for some reason the concept of missiles not being 'hurr lock on and fire' and having some sort of laser/TV guided projectile or something else that requires maintaining lock seems to be lost on most of the community. This also applies to having missiles with more range than 5-10km.
>muh ww2 in spess
>go play eve if you want to shoot at red dots from a distance
>>
>>135594569
Well, Retaliator missiles can lock at 14km, so thats something.

I think they're just holding off on the range until they get some balance in.

Not like half the missiles hit stationary targets, can't believe thats actually intentional.
>>
>>135594625
Missiles seem to work in AC, at least somewhat. They tend to hit Vanduul.

They're just extremely broken on the Crusader map and fly off in random directions and/or explode.
>>
>>135593927
The b utthurt is going to be wonderful. I don't care since it's more money for CIG to make shit, but anyone who thought they could be special snowflakes are getting BTFO right now. The tears will be good.
>>
>>135595670
I have never owned a Vanduul ship but I think its pretty shitty of them to devalue and demean owning one from a rarity perspective.

Preferably I wouldn't have anyone own them; make them a skill-based challenge to aquire.
>>
>>135595847
Same here anon. They're fucking stupid. Vanduul lore says they self destruct rather than be boarded o anything like that. They've essentially locked off their entire fleet for no reason. Well, it might be for them to sell them all eventually. I would have loved to be in a vanduul capturing org, making profit off selling them in the game somehow, but that won't happen.
>>
>>135596140
>for no reason

Nope, for one reason: to sell for hundreds of dollara despite no tactical value

Limit the sale to 1000, they could sell the fighter for $500 and make half a million dollars in an hour.
>>

>If the Blade is actually true to stats, it'll be insane
For what purpose? Yes, it might weigh less, but it's still just a Gladius with less missiles and really not worth that much. Apart from that, it's likely that it can't even be upgraded properly because Vanduul ships aren't designed to fit human component sizes. Also without a significant skill advantage the chance to win against fighters like the Hornet is probably rather small.

Did you see the monthly mag for it? This will be the most useful ship in the game. Along with repair, it will be able to refuel as well. It also has a rearming module for giving ammo out to ships.

Fuck the corvette as a standard mini-fleet ship, the Crucible would be way more useful by being able to increase the range of the fighter squadron with fuel and repairs, or being able to replenish ammo for kinetic weapons.
>>
>>135659056
Problem being of course is that the 'gameplay' will mostly consist of small minigames, so you would have to be comfortable with that.
>>
>>135659269
>implying that would be a problem

I kind of still have my hopes on the NPCs being hired to do whatever extra tasks are needed. Of course, we have yet to see the advanced AI they plan for us to be able to hire/encounter, but from what they have shown of the AI it looks promising. If not, I think the benefits of the Crucible would make it worthwhile to most medium - hardcore players that seriously want to fly distances as groups of fighters. The uses of the crucible seem almost too good to be true. You do a strike on some faggots it space and then warp back to the place with the crucible to fix you up and continue on. The minigames are worth the post-combat effectiveness.

Some bits of it are paricles, but most of it are alpha images, or images with transparency. They're layered and offset to the camera and in different directions/orientations to give the illusion if a true particle system. While it looks ok, they aren't the same thing.

Honestly I'm sort of getting close to that point. Of course, combat is currently the only thing to do, but we still don't have at least concepts for the different levels of industrial careers like a starter/medium mining ship, starter/medium fueler, starter/medium repair ship (Unless if the Crucible is the medium, then we don't have a large/starter), or starter/medium salvaging ship. We need all of those things in the game, but all we've been getting are combat ships. It makes sense that we get combat ships right now because Sq42 needs them, but at the same time at least having concepts for the many other careers would be assuring. It's possible they could be just holding those concepts back for when those careers actually see some daylight after Sq42 is done, but we'll just have to see.

Yeah, the people who think "non combat" ships exist give me a giggle. The Starfarer is probably the ship in game with the very lowest desire to be in, and yet it is covered with guns and heavily shielded. There's a reason for that, and I feel like there's gonna be a legion of crying carebears when they realize that being able to deprioritize PVP does NOT mean they get to opt out of combat.

People shit all over the Cutlass because it's been terribly designed, flies like garbage and has changed roles 3 or 4 times.

It's 'multirole' in the sense that it's 'meh' at everything.

>>
>>135739525

I'd recommend just buying the basic package for either the Mustang Alpha or the Aurora, you can obtain all the other ships in-game.
>>
>>135739525
You can literally download the game for free right now and play until tomorrow, and all the ships that are flyable are free to use until tomorrow.

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/download

You just need an account.
>>
>>135739525
The Mustang Alpha or Aurora MR are probably the most TIE-esque ships with jump drives. The P-52 Merlin is the actual most TIE like ship, put that is limited to either being a parasite fighter for a larger ship or operating in an extremely limited area, it lacks even a cruise engine for significant in system travel.
>>

When can I expect this game to actually release? Are we still years away? I want to buy it but I'd rather just wait if it's not even close.
>>
>>135740409
Oh, I misunderstood.
Make sure you have the single player Squadron 42 campaign, that's the Wing Commander/TIE Fighter angle of the game, it is worth noting SQ42 is not finished yet and is not yet available, It'll probably be released either q4 2016 or q1 2017.

. If you're looking to play the MMO end of the game you'll want to acquire a combat focus single seater. You can either buy one for shekels, buy a starter ship and play arena commander until you have enough REC to rent a proper fighter or just wait it out and buy a ship with UEC whenever the Universe finally goes live.
>>
>>135741048
I should add that I'm really only interested in the MMO part.
>>
>>135741641
End of 2016 is meant to be full persistent universe alpha/beta/whatever the fuck

Its also partly because they're not retarded enough to go full Braben and rely on procedurally generated 'content'.

Anyone else think that the Starfarer is way overcrewed?

12 jump seats and 6(?) EVA storage lockers.

Pilot, Navigator, Engineer, Boom Operator all seem like arguably solid roles. The other 8 seem like their presence is rather superfluous
>>
>>135766104
The stats page still lists it at 7 max crew. The Freelancer has more bunks/seats that it actually needs as well

Presumably it's for times you want to take it out and do things other than sit in gas giants and refuel ships but want all your stations manned anyway
>>
>>135765618
Procedurally Generated lands of planets won't take that long. The longest part is the landing zones being made, which most of them will be unique. I like to think that when Squadron 42 is done in 2017, the next 2 years the entire company can be focused solely on the PU, ramping up basically everything. Also, all of the stuff used in Squadron 42 will be things in the PU anyway, like Vanduul capitals, ProcGen asteroids, guns, ships, all of that.
>>
>>135766104
>Anyone else think that the Starfarer is way overcrewed?
Not really. Yeah, you only need a pilot, boom operator and maybe an engineer and turret gunners, but having the capability to bring a bunch of other people along is pretty nice. Also, you'll probably need more than one engineer for console operation and repairs in multiple crawlspaces. Not sure how often you'd actually need to do field repairs in a tanker though.

Passengers or security personnel.

Pilot, Co-Pilot, you really do want do want both. Navigator, Captain, Bridge Engineer, 2-4 Other Engineers in the guts of the ship to fix things that break, these are probably also your fueling operators. Three gunners, these are not interchangable with engieers because if one man has to do both any time you shields fail due to a blown fuse you also lose a gun turret while its being repaired.

The fundemental equation of space travel: Tsiolkovsky rocket equation.

Δv = Ve * ln[R]

The variables are the velocity change required by the mission (Δv or delta-V), the propulsion system's exhaust velocity (Ve), and the spacecraft's mass ratio (R). Remember the mass ratio is the spacecraft's wet mass (mass fully loaded with propellant) divided by the dry mass (mass with empty propellant tanks).

The point is you want as high a delta-V as you can possibly get. The higher the delta-V, the more types of missions the spacecraft will be able to perform. If the delta-V is too low the spacecraft will not be able to perform any useful missions at all.

the more you know!

They're probably talking about the 2 most retarded designs, the Mauler cruiser and the Driller escort carrier that had absolutely no thought put into the design. I would expect them to be replaced by entirely new designs since the Vanduul now lose a cruiser and an escort carrier, both required for fleets to be functional. It can't be possible that the Vanduul just have 3 fighters, a super heavy bomber, and then they immediately jump to supercarrier.

of all potential ship cuts, pic related has to be the first. Just look at this shit.

>>135771039
Also this. This cargo ship design, even if alien, is perhaps the most inefficient way of having a cargo ship. It's a large block of cargo with tons of space used up by ship. The Hull series are alright - relatively little ship, massive engines, massive cargo space.

Fly around the galaxy in my very own Millennium Falcon.

What's the ship with good cargo space, speed and weaponry?

Also, do we have any smuggling/transport organizations? I was thinking of one called Constellation Cargo. "Any time, Anywhere, Anything. No matter the legality, it will be shipped".

Basically, let's say you're too busy doin' other things but you need a payload of goodies shipped off. You can just hire Constellation Cargo. We'll send you a man best suited for the delivery and charge you once it's done.(Payment is dependent on the amount of cargo being transported and how dangerous the nature of the job is)

Or say, you're mining some stuff, but you dont got enough room in your cargo bay for all your loot. Hire Constellation Cargo

The Cutlass is a bit smaller than the Falcon, but similar in usage (two seater cargo ship with some guns and a turret on it). No place to hide smuggled cargo though.

Freelancer is a bit bigger, but has a tiny amount of living space in addition to its cargo hold. Still no place to hide stuff though. The components system for ships isn't in.
Ship armor isn't in.
Trading isn't in nor is the economy.
Mining isn't in.
Exploration isn't in.
There's only a fraction of a stay system available.

And that's just scratching the very surface. All the basic features the game is missing could fill a book and the janky piece of shit we have is held together with duct tape.

4 years, 115+ million dollars.

You mean the same sorts of people that fucked up ships like the Cutlass, ruined Star Marine, and other such general fuck ups from being totally incompetent at their jobs?

Star Citizen, right now, is developing at a rather rapid and increasing rate. They're putting out patches almost every week to every other week. Those patches have contained new ships, new features, and gameplay balance and updates most of the time. We started with just Crusader and its local area, then that got more missions, then expanded, and soon we're going to have an actual landing location.

The high profile asset contractors are not the only contractors CIG has worked with.

I talked to people from solid companies who did work on all sorts of little specialty things.

Beyond that a lot of issues arent even the contractors fault. Star Marine is a good example. CIG throwing Illfonic a codebranch and then working on engine changes while Illfonic worked on Star Marine for a year was an an outright stupid decision. Isn't CIG supposed to be Agile? This is like shitty corporate Waterfall crash and burn.

CIG being super reliant on contractors in general and blaming them for low quality is a huge redflag. A competent management for any software project needs to understand how to manage offsite assets.

Star Citizen has always shown signs of terrible, inexperienced project management.

Your motto shouldn't obviously out you as a smuggler org. Better to make a thinly-veiled from as legitimate cargo haulers. Hell, if you just kept the first part, "Any time, anywhere, anything", that would be more than enough. It's vague enough to not explicitly condone smuggling (I guarantee you some modern-day legal delivery service has that as their slogan), but it heavily heavily hints at it.
>>
>>135795751
Use a google filter and add ons to block your biggest sources of SC-anything. Unsub from anything SC related on YT, and delete the game from your computer including all images you've saved from it.

If you want to forget about the game for a long time, you have to go all in otherwise it wouldn't work. Of course, maybe you have better self control and could just stop looking at the stuff, but obviously you wouldn't be asking this question if you were able to do that.
>>
>>135796736
Almost forgot: you need to preoccupy yourself with something else to take up your time (hopefully something fun and constructive). That way, even if you wanted to go and find SC information, it would be taxing on your time to do the other thing(s), thus eventually making you not want to see SC anything. Of course, this all comes down to your will to actually forget about the game because there is a workaround to everything if you look hard enough, so in addition to everything I've mentioned you need to have the will to not look anymore, and this mostly applies to when you''re in places that don't have all of your filters and addons, like your phone or at work or school.

oh boy
>>
>>135830261
Chris has always pretended there wasn't a huge fuck up and defends them, in reality everyone on the outside can see that everything Illfonic was responsible for has needed to be redone by someone else afterwards, their ONLY ROLE was to make Star Marine, and they fucked it up so bad that the modules Star Marine was meant to be a testing FPS for ending up coming out and Star Marine is still nowhere to be seen months later.
>>
>>135830483
The fuckup was caused by diverging 2 builds so far apart it was impossible to put em back together.

Thats management, not contractors.
>>
>>135830718
Ever trusting those incompetent fucks who had never accomplished anything with a key part of the game was the major management fuck up.
>>
>>135830718
>small development team that never accomplished anything FPS related that's worthwhile

No anon, they were simply unexperienced at making something like FPS mechanics and held back Star Marine, and eventually their work had to be redone multiple times. They already merged the dev streams in summer last year, but Star Marine wasn't even mentioned for obvious reasons.
>>
>>135831112
From the few people that played the early copies it sounded as alpha as any other module.

Everything in Star Citizen is redone, it just so happened this was a severe dump cause CIG couldnt coordinate properly.
>>
>>135832224
Except everything that Illfonic did is now being redone BY OTHER PEOPLE, with them never contacted again. Remember how agonizingly show their progress was as well when they were actually in AtV?
>>
>>135832224
You seem to not understand that when you hire a dev team that has no experience making FPS games to make an FPS game(module) that you're going to end up with massive issues, more so than other aspects of SC. It's pretty obvious at this point that you didn't follow development when they were around. Once again, when they merged the devs streams other things from the game continued on with minor issues, but FPS was nowhere to be seen due to total overhaul.
>>
>>135832729
>>135832490
Whatever, keep blaming ex-devs when the people in charge are struggling to show progress themselves.
>>
>>135832729
Illfonic did have experience making a glorified mod in the CryEngine, which is how they got the contract, I always got the feeling they were hired wholesale as a team way earlier than a lot of other guys when the game had a way smaller budget, as proven by how they actually hired original CryTech guys who wrote the engine in the first place to effectively replace them later.
>>
>>135832224
>played the early copies
source?

Also, Illfonic couldn't get FPS to work in a game engine basically designed for FPS games. How the fuck could you blame anyone but Illfonic for being shit at their only job at CIG?

Probably, but something is making me nervous about the Corvette design. Both Aegis and MISC have their bottom turrets flip the pilot upside down to make it intuitive to use without your legs blocking most of the view, but the Constellation does not. If the corvette is going to have plenty of turrets, some on top and some on bottom, I would hate it if the bottom turrets were mortally gimped by not flipping the gunner like the other manufacturers do.

>>
>>135846181
>using other manufacturer-specific turrets on different ships

Simply taking a look at the freelancer turret, the constellation turret, and then the cutlass and retaliator turret makes me know this is not the case. The ships themselves have systems built within the ship to allow turret access that seems to only work for their specific ship types. The access to the turrets on the Constellation are very different from the access to the turrets on the retaliator, or for any ship in that case, so there's no chance of this happening. What we do need is for the constellation turret to be fixed. That's literally it. Make it flip upside down and all problems are solved. I expect their to be different turret types for each individual manufacturer, sure, but swapping them out between eachother seems impossible given the current mechanisms they all use.
>>
>>135847065
That's not to say we won't have turrets built to go in these places by manufacturers, like how we are getting an Aegis fitted Starfarer.

The system they used is explicitly there to make this sort of thing possible.

Where is the fueling system, where are the multi-system exploration elements, where are the signature scanning and net warfare elements, where is the mining and cargo hauling. >Beta
I would assume SC beta would be when the PU and all of its initial release promises are met. The main promise is 100 systems at launch, each system with multiple planets, some landable for exploration and others with landing zones. Xi'an fleet ready, Banu "fleet" ready, and Vanduul ready.
Given all of this and my personal game completion time, I'd say SC beta would start near the end of 2018, with commercial complete release 6 months to1 year later.
A glimmer of hope for us: apparently most resources are being used for Sq42, so when that is released than many things should become fleshed out more.

They are people who originally lived in the Orion system or descendents of people who lived in the Orion system who want to get the system back. They do this by basing raids in Vanduul systems from this planet so let’s say you’re a Vanduul Swarm fanatic, let’s say you have interest in testing your mettle against… in Vanduul territory. You can come find the descendents of Orion on Selene, they’re not going to pay much, it’s going to be very dangerous but it’s definitely going to be a good way to get some dogfighting action.

Less retarded operation pitchfork or just a general anti-cap org?
>>
>>135867807
Well, attacking player capitals seems like it would be more difficult to pull off since most will be hangar queens, so the opportunity to consistently do that would be fairly low. The Vanduul on the other hand are AI that spawn in the places that the UEE were btfo meaning that their larger ships are more likely to be in those areas. Destroying either player or AI capitals is ok with me, so I guess an anti-cap org would be good. Or even better, stealing the human capitals. That would bring more profit, but I don't want to get shot in the fucking face trying that shit. The tears of forumites is good enough for me.

All I'd really need is a group of dedicated, skilled pilots that want to risk themselves to see big, pretty explosions of expensive whales. It sounds like a lot to ask of people, I know, but seeing >>135514382 gives me hope that they're out there.

I'm currently in the process of trying to forget about SC for a few years to make the wait feel less excruciating, so it wouldn't make sense for me to start an org right now. Maybe next year or something when much larger ships are available in whatever the Crusader map has turned into. Although, I'm pretty damn sure that once 100m + ships are made available for flight, there will be pirating orgs that want to do this as well, so maybe they would exist by then. I'm a total fucking carebear when it comes to online games, but even I can't wait until we get to blast the shit out of people like this.

On a side note, I'm torn trying to decide if I should keep my Aurora LN or drop a few extra buckaroos and pick up a Titan instead. Looking for something to run cargo with and not get my shitter torn apart if I run into some pirates or griefers or whatever and also has a bed for logging out.

Furry orgs are kill on sight.

I don't give a fuck what rules or in-universe laws that breaks, or what happens to my character's rep as a result.

If I have to be an outlaw, shunned by the UEE and modern space society simply because I am fighting to rid the universe of such degenerate scum, so be it.

The Carrack is the true Firefly of star citizen. I've seen people compare the firefly to the freelancer, but I don't see it in the design. If you look at the carrack and some of the interior stuff you really get that sense, even from the way it opens, that they modeled it after the firefly.

I'm not gaga over it, but it's something I would like to see done so I threw some cash their way. I think alot of people that backed it are pretty zealous about the developers, but I think we'll see something from it. I'm at least hoping now that we have the sarfarer in hanger, that soon we'll have that fuel system in place which will make for more diverse gameplay.

You can get lost in that thing christ. I did not expect the interior to be that extensive. Fueling looks like its going to be a comfy time. It could act as a mothership for a small outfit at this rate. Hopefully they go through with that module for replacing the fuel tanks with snub fighters.

One nice thing they could do in Crusader would be gunner rental with REC like in other games where you control one craft and the turrets have bots assisting or at least you always get one turret to autoaim for you but if someone gets into any other turret seats it disable it. So people could try (to fight) them in the Alpha with some form of defences without needing additional players.

They don't? They look nothing like tech on Khartu, aside of being round. Khartu's engines are short and swiveled, MISC engines are long and static or rotating at best, but even Drake has those. Not to mention, MISC are rounded dildos when Xi'an are insectoid.

Shit, even warp tech on MISC ships is human tech. CIG can't follow their own design rules for shit, I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to redesign all MISC ships again because they have jack shit in common with actual Xi'an design language.
>>
>>135959390
Not all MISC ships use Xi'an tech. They are a human company that happen to be the only one Xi'an contracts. The Reliant is one ship that uses the tech, I don't think the Starfarer or Hull series do
