Weavile is so much fun. The more I play it, the more I learn about all the options it has.

I recommend starting the game in the dojo and to spend an hour or two there. It really helps trying everything out and get used to some combos. I never played a fighting game seriously before and feel like I've made some really good process. It also doesn't hurt to do the tutorials again at a later point to get a reminder of everything you can use. You easily forget about stuff after some battles.

I started with Machamp and really was overwhelmed at first. I felt hella slow and was doubting if I really could get into it.

But one day later I'm destroying stuff left and right with one thousand punches and Bulk Up Swings and I fucking love it. I'm aware of all the stuff I have to improve in the future but I already have lots of fun with the game.

Customization is the only thing you can spend credits on. Do it faggot!
You can also unlock them by rising up a League. Another way of getting them are amiibos, you can use them 5 times a day and get a random bonus, so far I got credits, customization items and titles. However, you can also get the lucky bonus after battles, which can also give you these rewards - except I didn't get customization items from these yet. Maybe I was just unlucky or I didn't notice.

As someone who sucks at fighting games and wants to learn, would this be easy enough to learn as a starting point?

I just did 40 matches online and I can say I never felt so tired out. There really was no easy battle in between them, all of them where nerve wrecking and you have to focus so bad. It doesn't help that there are a lot of good players out already.

He's the only character in the game with less than 500 health. He's very much tuned like Akuma or Seth in SFIV. The ultimate example of a glass cannon in the game.

That doesn't make him inherently weak or strong, but it makes him high risk and high reward. He might be OP he might be shit, he might be somewhere in the middle - the game's gonna have to develop more (since I don't think he's been in arcades?) to determine his worth.

And yeah, if online is making you salty take a break and spend more time learning the game offline. Try to learn from watching more skilled players if you can, lots of people out there are playing the game and streaming or uploading footage.
