I've got a problem:
I got some cias of eshop games (shovel knight...), but I can't update them (or reinstall them, same shit) through the eshop.
The download goes all the way to 99% then it gives me error 007-6106 or 005-8401, And if I go to the home menu they behave like I was downloading while in sleep-mode at 99%.

No, they can't! Anything homebrew launcher related will never brick your shit. It's the safest option for a 3DS hacker, and quite easy to set up. The problem is that he's on 10.6, but since you are a friend of his AND you have your own 3DS, you can easily lend him OoT3D with a hacked save or whatever's needed so he can get an entrypoint, which then will allow him to install menuhax. The thing you've got to realize is that a9lh doesn't cold boot. It loads a CFW. In the same way, any updates you do are done through the CFW, and Nintendo is not given access to the firmware that boots the hax.

Now, it maybe could break updates, but that's a different story. Either way you can still boot into one of the backups you've hopefully been making.

There's no real downside to a9lh besides the fact that it could break future updates. But if it does you'll just have to restore your system with the backup you've made.

Yes, you just need to move your files. Everything is running on sysNAND so no need to worry about partitions on your SD card.

Hey /hgb/ i still got this shitty request.

I really want to play Rusty's Real Deal Baseball, but being from the EU i have a problem getting the DLC to work because you have to go to the eShop to unlock them in the game. The game is not available here and so i get an error when i try that.

I think a possible workaround would be if somebody from the US did this:
1. Install the game and the DLC .cia
2. Play the game until you'd need to buy the full Versions of the Minigames in the eShop. (~10-15min)
3. Go to the eShop to get the games unlocked
4. let the game save or play a little bit further, like doing one minigame
5. dump the save so i can use it on my game

If anyone has another solution i'll be glad to hear it. I would really appreciate if anyone could do this.

Is there a way I can transfer specific titles from the o3ds to my 2ds without using the built-in system transfer? (It sounded to me like both systems end up formatted and it's all or nothing, but I'm probably dumb.) I ran NTR, and put the en_europe plugin from https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-language-emulation-plugin-for-ntr-1-0-2-2.386543/ in plugin\[title id for eu BS], and launched the game, but the only thing that had changed was that the main menu now was in English but everything else was still Japanese. I tried installing it on my NA 3ds and there was no issue with the language so the only conclusion I can make is that the region is holding me back here. (Although I'm not sure why the EU game would have JP voices and text on it?)

It's my understanding that cakes does not naturally have region free support, and so far NTR isn't helping unless I'm doing something wrong. Would I just be better off using a different CFW that does support it to avoid this headache?

1) Put ntr.bin in the root of your SD and bootNTR.cia somewhere in your SD
2) Create a folder named “plugin”
3) Inside the plugin folder create another one named after the Title ID of your game:

4) Inside that folder place langemu_jp.plg from the NTR Language Emulator
5) Insert the SD in your 3DS and open your emunand
6) Install bootNTR.cia
7) Open the bootNTR app (the one with the rocket)
8) Wait for it to initialize NOTE: It is very common for the app to freeze during "patching svc check" so if that happens just reboot your console and try again.
9) After it’s done open your game

A9LH patches firm0 and firm1 leaving nintendo unable to EVER undo it

Nintendo however can release a new firmware that updates the NATIVEFIRM and if you update to it your sysnand will simply not load because the CFW hasn't been updated to support the new NATIVEFIRM kinda similar to emunand

If this happens you can simply launch Decrypt9 because Decrypt9 boots before the sysnand does and restore your sysnand from a back up

Did I get that right? I'm just doing some reading before I delve deeper into installing A9LH
