Lancelot would be a very strong but basic and expensive Saber. He would have Arondight by default and it would be very hard to hide his identity. His legend means most masters will be predisposed not to trust him. Arondight is a constant Phantasm that cannot be turned off and drains mana so if you're not strong enough to supply that much mana you'll die trying to maintain him. And though he will be almost unstoppable one on one he is not a servant suited to a true war, against underhanded foes and multiple enemies he's at a huge disadvantage.

Its not so much how he will be written that's the problem with being featured in FGO, it's the fact that dialogue between characters and how much a character can develop is extremely limited due to how brief event stories and how huge the cast is.
