Thanks for the follower suggestions. I only just started using custom ones.

I had Tania and Selene, and it was ok. I'm bad and playing an archer so Selene tanks and Tania stays back and uses a bow with me, but it was overpowered. They both heal, and Selene literally tanks anything. Dragons, huge groups of bandits, etc. Some of her custom abilities seem buggy though, when she ragdolls enemies I either can't hit them until they stand up or do no damage.

It's kind of amusing watching her toss enemies 20 feet in the air and hit them with lightning, I guess.

I think I'll try Inigo and Vilja.

So I just discovered this EU IV mod two hours ago, /tesg/.

At its current stage, the mod is nothing compared to Elder Kings (a CK II mod). For example, Tamriel itself is for some reason, a continent on Earth instead of Nirn.

But hey, who knows, give it a few months, and there might not be a need for Bethesda to create an Elder Scrolls themed strategy game.

You can use BodyChange instead of CustomRace. Imo, it provides more control over the meshes and textures you want to use.

how do you make sense of TESO skills? its all an uninspiring mush. nearly every class tree uses magicka so if i wanna use those to do damage i raise magicka attribute, and the weapon trees use stam so i raise stam if i want weapon swing damage - so how do i decide what i wanna use and what is better anyway?

for instance a NB's stealth gank skills are magicka, but should i raise the damage magicka for those or raise stam and use weapon swings once i get in?

if i go magicka route on a build should i have no weapon skills on my bar at all and only have magicka using class skills?

I usually make a 'transformation' of some sort for my characters just to give combat some variety. I'm looking to make another one where the character becomes a brawler demon thing. What are some fair pos and neg attributes I can put? I usually add drain stamina or health as a timer to stop me from always using it.
So, give me some cool ideas.

Guy from a few threads ago talking about an uncapper preset that only let you level up skills via masters, books, and quests.

Having been playing it for hours, I have to say that this makes a difference to the game. The pace of the game slows down greatly, but not so slow that you are unable to progress. You end up with 99% absolute control over your power level, so you don't have to fret about leveling up because you decided to drop a fireball on an army. Only issue I've noticed is that lockpicking is bugged, and that the interface does not respect the settings you choose in the uncapper, but this is a very minor detail at most.

It has changed how I actually play the game. If I see a bunch of targets and I don't want their loot, then I don't waste my time killing them. I also feel that I'm avoiding more fights, and using "optimal" tactics for clearing the room as fast as possible.

The mods I'm using to go with this are "Smart Training - Tweaked", "Sometimes Pick Up Books", "Better Skill and Quest Books Names", and "Journal of the Dragonborn". I have never used a trainer before in this game because of the ease of leveling, but this setup is making me to go out there, take notes on what trainers are where, and having to deal with the fact that some of them can possibly be killed.

Old RPGs made you money to level up, and having to seek out trainers was a major part of it. So far I've cleared 9 dungeons, done a few quests, and slain over 400 monsters (Yay ASIS) and I'm only level 6.

I do have a small army of followers to ease things. If you want to try this setup, here's my uncapper: http://pastebin.com/SR8G2JzW

It's set to only allow skill growth from 90 onwards and gives 25 to HP/MP/ST per level up to compensate for the larger time differences in leveling. It's also set to give no weight limit increases.

Now, I have to go to the dentist, I'll discuss things when I get back. I'm using vanilla wealth so it might go to ratshit once money rolls in.

No idea where you got that from, at the most it'll give RoTE enemies a huge upgrade of spells/perks/buffs from other mods. No idea about Duel but I'm sure it wouldn't do anything since it just overhauls combat.

Hmmmm. You know on one of those runs there was a beat attacking some elk, and I noticed the elk was glowing as if it had some magic effect on it from enchanted gear or something. I have no idea why that would be.

I have Worlds Dawn and ASIS for example but elk don't spawn with equipment that could get an enchantment. Or could the automatic perk function of ASIS have given it something? No idea if this is even related.
