It's a shame I feel every time a new one comes out. There's so much you could do with the games that aren't implemented as to remain safe to keep attracting the same players.

Difficulty would be a hard one to change. There's nothing really hard about watering crops every day. Having competitors would feel cheap unless you can see what they are growing themselves and improvise. Long winters or other weather patterns wouldn't make too much of a difference either.

Seeing the town change would be interesting. I mean, I just spent 200k at Pierre's and he's still in this shitty shop? I don't think we need more difficulty so much as more dynamic environments.

Excavator is only good until you realize you've gotten all minerals on Museum shelves already.
Geologist is essentially made useless by Crystalariums
Blacksmith and Gemologist are pretty useless because your source of money should be coming from crops. At that point, you would just be selling them to get rid of them, not for their inherent money pull.
Prospector is good if you need a lot of ore smelted while not wanting to buy tons of Coal. Which, again, is more of a short-term need than a long-term one.
