at what point should you start using forma and catalysts on weapons? i have a few max rank weapons, but with a rank 6 serration +rank 4 infected chip/stormbringer for corrosive, i'm not sure what I can do to make myself strong enough to get through some of the planets. i'm pretty much stuck at neptune.

im using max rank volt with a nova and rhino being built, a max rank karak with aforementioned mods along with viper/dual cleavers being leveled.

Finally go around to doing the defend Alad V event quest.
Everyone on my squad is dying repeatedly, still get to the very end and have to fight Mania. Someone dies so I go to get them up, get knocked back while reviving so my guy is just permanently stuck in the revive position. Mania refuses to focus me after that, kills my entire squad and then Alad V while I am glitched and stuck reviving nothing. 10/10 game.

So I tonk every single thing in universe lately but it gets a bit boring... I kinda wish for another weapon that can be at least somewhat useful.

So apparently Ivara sleep arrows affect Misery and the shadows, letting you effectively stun them indefinitely if you have a Trin giving you energy back or really high efficiency. I dont think it lasts as long, but it lasts a good second where you get free shots on them.
Also for some reason it drops the defenses of Misery and the shadows, letting you bypass their phase where they just dont take damage or bounce back bullets. They just start getting hit for some reason.

str for the high end stuff with trinity. you need QT anyway. then duration, you dont really need efficiency or range. if you want comfy map and alert clearer you want duration and flow with at least 175 power.

you must max out armor. you need about 350 shields. if you dont have trinity your melee must restore your HP or your 3 wont increase your damage. every time your 3 is ending you need to LET YOUR SHIELDS HEAL or you will die because no shield to lose means no extra armor from 3.

The carriers shoot like once every 6-7 seconds if that since my friend was playing slow nova. And even then we leave at like 3500 anyway so they never get damaged or destroyed.

It still pisses me off that Concealed Explosives does twice as much damage as any other similar mod (Hexis Bolto mod, Thunderbolt) and can be equipped to one of the fastest firerate secondaries that also have a less than 1 second reload. I want the bolto mod to be useful.

Copy the thread, anon. Also, to be fair, DE's recent large-scale reworks so far (Movement, Shotguns, etc) have only made things better. Granted movement is slower, but it is a hell of a lot more fun. It's a fucking tossup whether they'll end up shitcanning all damage or legitimately help with the required mod situation. Considering they usually hide nerfs in reworks I wouldn't be surprised if they shat all over a bunch of good weapons in the process, but I have that lingering, retarded hope I know I shouldn't have that they'll do things decently.

The shotgun buff was only good because they just outright buffed 2 shotguns and their variants through the goddamn roof. Easy. You get Streamline, maybe even Flow, press 4, and take a walk through literally anywhere except maybe high level Grineer planets or the Void. Press 2 if things aren't burning fast enough, and if it's obvious something won't die from the fire, maybe toss a bullet or two its way.

The parkor animations are ass, but it's actually a hell of a lot better now. Wallclimbing usually isn't needed, and if it is you have far more control over it (You just need to get used to it) Horizontal wall-running is... I feel it's better than the on-rails bullshit we had before by leaps and bounds, but it does need a bit of tuning.

As for the Shotgun buffs, pretty much every shotgun but the Boar Prime, Kohm, and Strun series is a hell of a lot better, and the strun series would be better if the reload per shell was even faster. Honestly the Kohm probably wasn't buffed out of spite, and the Boar Prime to punish speculators who were collecting the parts to resell them prepping for the rework. The only thing I hated about the shotgun rework was that it was only primary focused, none of the shotgun secondaries were buffed.

zenurik is universally useful because it gives you energy regen for the rest of the mission after activation (4 per sec when that node is maxed), naramon is good for tenchufags and melee in general (lets you invis on melee, crit more, and get more experience on melee), and madurai adds multiplicative IPS bonuses to all your weapons

What's the Fusion Core farming hotspot? Just got back after a 2 year hiatus. Been doing Hicurion or whatever and you get 5 stacks occasionally, plus fighting Infested is easy, but my mates are saying they nerfed it so I don't know. Ash is one of the best frames to speed up Grineer Defense missions. Bladestorm is the only press-4-to-win ability left. He's my go-to for sorties, you can easily spam Bladestorm and quickly clear every wave with 80%+ of the damage done

They're actually quite easy once you get around the basic method for it.
Link all the surrounding nodes together and then just start rotating the central one until the puzzle is complete.

You don't need to think too much with them most of the time.

The wiki has a slightly outdated list of weapon tiers, but if you're just starting out, there aren't a lot of unrecoverable mistakes you can make. The worst you could do is spend a forma or a potato on something you end up not using. Although some are obviously better than others, virtually all melee weapons are at least passable.

The Exalted Blade power uses your melee weapon's mods, but doesn't depend on the weapon's base stats as far as I know.
