That's where I stop reading. It's a multiplayer game. There are indeed challenging quests and with friends they're a lot more fun than palying online. See 140 quests, for example. In MH3U it's literally impossible to have a challenging run because everyone just wants to do marathon quests.

Glad Capcom learned this lesson and balanced them in MHX.

That you just want to "farm" monsters without even actually fighting them, says a lot about you. Literal cancer.

Slow Sprinter isn't so bad, just craft a quick armor set with Speed Gather in it and do the 4 star quest "Poison Patrol" assuming MH4U repeatedly, making sure you always carve 3 times during the fake deaths. It's easy to do with minimal attention and you can get 200+ dash extract without too much trouble doing it so that your negative bonus is canceled out.

No, it's a hunting game. They included 4 man hunting as a form of "party" game similar to Mario Party. It's not supposed to be difficult with 4 people, and I can confirm it definitely is not.

There's a reason gathering hall quests are balanced for 2 players, and not 4.

Up until High Rank, there it started getting old, but the habit of 40% gathering/slaying quests only persisted through the first rank in HR.

Huh, I was expecting you to call me reddit and play the game. Anyways, I agree completely. I can make it work on some monsters that I know well and utilize the backhop evade but otherwise it's not so hot and I don't like those jump attacks. Also sns really benefits from the regular roll anyways because dodging at any point is easy and it keeps you right near the spot you were attacking so unless the bushido attacks get buffed motion values I don't see it really being that helpful.

It's true. I also did level 8 Tetsucabra solo, but I didn't take a picture of that. Level 8 Tetsu didn't feel that hard anyway, though, since Rock Piercer Tetsucabra isn't relentless when it comes to chasing you around, has a lot less bouncing than Crimzon Arzuros, and Gamuto is far less of a danger than a Zinogre who doesn't even get exhausted thanks to his charge mode.

I just now this morning did level 10 Spearbreaker Daimyo which I couldn't pull off well enough, so I crafted the final Teostra Longsword to replace my iron longsword. It did the trick thanks to the increased sharpness allowing for actually hitting Daimyo's easily accessible legs after Rajang spawns. It took me 15 minutes after Rajang joined in for me to kill Daimyo. Rajang was easy after this. I'm probably going to make the EX Brachydios set now, handicraft + bombardier for my Teostra Longsword seems pretty neat, and the set looks great.

I haven't hunted many 140s solo, but they definitely do have a lot more identity and gimmicks that sets them apart a lot from regular monsters and their 140 GQ counterparts.

They do still hit like trucks, though. All of them have one or more attacks that near instakill you, but they're usually their newly added attacks.

Heavy Snow Lord Lagombi is the only thing I can safely say is not fun to fight unless you have negate Mud/Snow.

I know you were, have you done that quest though? Crimson Arzuros 8 in particular is very difficult due to a combination of things I (mostly) explained in the post you replied to. To top that off, it doesn't seem like monsters can harm each other on the tower, because I once spent 50 minutes desperately trying to kill just the Zinogre with a 160 raw green sharpness weapon and Crimson Arzuros never even got enraged from Zinogre hitting it nonstop.

Super is its default. The only difference is the fur being folded to its body and the dim electrical glow.

Hyper is beyond Supercharge. The fur will stand up and the electrical glow will intensify. It becomes slower but hits harder. Do beware that if you don't knock it out fast, it'll release an electrical burst and revert back to Super.

I just went from 1-40 in 2 weeks(its 100% 2 weeks minimum, it has xp caps until 40)

Then you hit HR which has NO XP cap and access to the HR hunts finally.

basically its 2 weeks of Beavers/Gryphons/Shoguns sadly

Then HR hits and its pretty much just MH.

I have yet to run out of hunting tickets(daily hunting limit, you can buy 6 a day, get them from drops doing casual normal hunts in red bags, you get 10 free a day, and 20 free a week and 30 in total)
