Which browserhax version are you guys using for O3DS 10.4? I tried the auto detection QR code, sliderhax and spider28hax, but the browser keeps kicking me back to home menu.
I downloaded the O3DS 10.4.0-29U otherapp payload and put it on the root of my SD card as well. Should it be renamed or something?

3DS files are bit-by-bit copies of a game cartridge. CIA files are usually converted from 3DS files and are of questionable structure, aside from legit CIAs of course. They can have hacks, cryptofixing, and all sorts of other crap bundled in. Meanwhile the 3DS files are usually confirmable through a file hash. 3DS files are usually the first to be released as well. So if you're going to archive something it's better to archive the 3DS file since you can always easily convert it to a CIA file if you need one, while the converse isn't necessarily true.

For the gbatemp one I simply could not load rxTools through the browser; I got an error every time.

Yes. You need Cubic Ninja or Ocarina of Time. If OoT, you need a way to flash the save payload on there, either through a hacked 3DS or a save dongle like action replay powersaves. CN relies on pure QR code though.

Any CN cart over $70, you're better off just getting a sky3ds

but anyway: even if you get into HBL, you have one shot to downgrade to 9.2. If you fuck that one chance up, you're forced to update to 10.4

I used the google DNS (8.8.8.8 primary, 8.8.4.4. secondary) and I was able to access browserhax and am now downgrading my 3DS.

Although, the 3DS was at firmware 9.5 before I did it, but browserhax and everything is still up, so as long as your 3DS isn't at version 10.4 you should be fine.
