Alright /vg/, I need help. I'm playing as a magick archer on PC (played as warrior on PS3) and I feel like I'm doing jack shit for damage

Currently level 47 and going through the second wing of BBI and everything is basically immune to most of my attacks

Should I level up or am I playing wrong?

I just read on the Ur-Dragon page to "monitor my pawn's stamina", which left me wondering how people do it since there's no stamina bar for pawns in the Pause Menu

Anyone else having a bug with portcrystals where you can't teleport to the ones you place? I lost my portcrystal at greatwall and the ones I placed at hillfigure knoll and the side entrance to witchwood can't be teleported to, and I'm afraid of placing more in case it renders my bluemoon crystal unusable.

How tanky are warriors actually?

Is BBI frustrating because Warriors get wrecked, or is it frustrating because fights are just tedious since everything flies?

Half the fun of being big-huge is taking hits, I don't want to play a warrior if they stop being able to take hits later into the game :(

If you need a healing/buffing Mage Pawn.I've got one on level 39 called Alatar, number 100 on the sheet.
He's trained to use focused bolt, no magick agent or any other damage spell. got low tier healing spell for faster casting. If you want any of his skills changed just tell me, though only low tiers because I want him to keep the fast casting speed.

Current theory is that skill usage such as focused bolt frequency is based on enem star knowledge.

This ENB is good. The AO is subtle and the DOF works for gameplay. It doesn't fuck with the game's art style at all.

My pawn was a mage until level 50, when I decided to make her Strider.
She was doing good really, some hires, a few good comments.
I just wanted more deeps and figured I could get by without a mage by buying curatives and sharing them with the pawns.

Started the everfall, had some problems at first, then adapted and it went smoother.

Then, I tried with a hired Mage, all the skills / affinites I wanted, Guardian / Scather.
And from there it went 10x smoother.
Almost never had to spend half the time in the inventory to check which curative to take against debilitations x / y / z, that was giving me headaches.
Me and my pawns almost at full health all the time.
And still good damage.

Honestly I'm starting to believe that most of the 'facts' spread around arent really true, and that it depends a lot on situations.
For example a guardian / nexus pawn may definitely be useless in the regular game when fighting goblins, none of the enemies are actually dangerous except the drake in the forest.
When things get tougher and require some strategy and preparation before the battle, then it goes differently.
Its the first time I used a guardian mage, mine was scather / challenger, I used her until level 50 and it went fine.
But the one I just hired was definitely better, and only because of inclinations, since she had the same spells / augments as mine, aka all the good ones.
Now I havent played much with this new hired mage, but I could already feel a difference.

Does just the ENB from the official site do anything by itself?

Fire is usually better. Holy surpasses it when everything starts having fire resistance in the post-game and especially in BBI. Holy is the single all-around enchantment with no drawbacks but it's not as useful as fire earlier because almost every enemy is weak to fire and they get ignited, with the drawback being that a few enemies take less damage from fire while holy will give a smaller damage boost to almost every enemy but no larger boost like fire.

If you want a mage pawn then you should have one affinity (fire or holy), high halidom, some form of anodyne, two good damaging spells like high frigor and maybe High Brontide or Comestion. Then the last spell should either be damaging or support depending on your inclination. If Utilitarian then Spellscreen may be worth equipping, but don't upgrade it to high spellscreen. If a more offensive inclination is primary, then something like high ingle if your party doesn't have much ranged so they can take down harpies and stuff.

I think the Saurians are pretty neat. They can use tools which makes them smarter than every animal we have in real life. I bet in Dragons Dogma: Back 2 the Future, we'll see a Saurian empire with evolved lizard people.

Also, I wish the game did a better way of allowing us to see a NPC's history. Most of the things I know are from the DD wiki. Like pretty much all the waifu candidates become much more likable after reading their history. Mercedes is the daughter that is never loved and sent to war as a prop, Madeline is the orphan raised by nuns who promised to never be poor again, Aelinore is the princess who didn't want to get married, and Quina is the gentle soul who constantly got bullied and went out to learn magic to help the one kid that saved her from bullies, you.

If the guys who made the AutoHotKey script that binds J, C and M to quests, equipment and map is here, I installed it but pressing any of the keys (J,C or M) just cycles through the stuff.

For example, I'll press either J,C or M and it'll bring me to inventory, Second press brings up map and third brings up equipment.

They're still great, still THE bow-based powerhouse.
Nothing comes close to matching the raw single-hit power of Just-released Reaper's Arrow except for Great Gamble, which costs ALL of your stamina. Tenfold Flurry's killing power is still amazingly high without Blast Arrows, and Corkscrew Arrow is fantastic for applying ailments because it hits so many times. Very, very efficient.
The other Longbow skills have their uses too, but they're not quite as widely usable as Tenfold, Reaper's and Corkscrew.

Is it possible to train a Strider while using an Assassin? I have another pretty good strider pawn in the party and have the same weapons with a few similar skills. Obviously im gonna miss out on really drilling in Skull Splitter but this is only temporary while im leveling other shit for stats.
