How the fuck Fisherman's Tatters have 13% Knockdown and Stagger Resistance while the Plebian Shirt zeros all over the place? If it wasn't for the +3 Defence the former would have been a better armour than the latter. (Hell, maybe it still is?)

Similar aesthetic, yes. But people could have just mentioned that it's made in Japan, meaning it's similar to how Japanese develop their games

I personally only draw a single parallel with them - vagueness.
Not in regards to storytelling, DD presents it quite clearly, but in regards to mechanics, locations, fights etc
If you are going through DD alone on your first playthrough, it might as well be like going through DaS with no one there to advise you on tactics.
Things are explained, a bit, but you have to figure stuff out, check everywhere for quests/items, all of the NPCs, items and locations are very deliberately placed (apart from some enemies, I guess)

Does anyone know for sure how Clout and Acuity work ?
Wiki doesnt precise if its an increase to your base Strenght / Magick, or if its an increase to base str/magick + Str/magick added by weapons.

If the latter, then those are great augments.
If its the former, then its shit because I'm level 50 with roughly 180 strenght and 250 magick - base stats from leveling as fighter / sorcerrer and MK - but my weapons are providing me with like 400 strenght and magick.

When does MK start getting good? I'm like vocation rank 4 with it and while the shield buffs are cool, I find myself killing the smaller enemies before they can even attack. I'm tempted to just go MA, but I heard it trivializes everything.

Get Prescience augments from rank 7 fighter, to make perfect blocks easier.
Equip 2 or 3 different elemental shields buff, to adapt to your enemies.
Equip magic / great cannon.
Cast cannon near your target, perfect block his attacks.
I've tried many different vocation but thats the most satisfying thing in the entire game for me.
And yes it does a lot of damage.
You'll get Abyssal Anguish (weapon buff ) at rank 9 that let me kill the boss Drake ( grigori ) in 15 seconds.

webm shows a perfect block of the dragon attack while having a lightning buff on the shield, it casts high levin. Doesnt do much damage there but its cool.

Does killing the wyvern at the entrance of Gran Soren in the postgame dragonforge? I've killed it 3 times with savescumming and so far none of my gear got upgraded.
It's all 3 stars too.

Does Daimon inflict any statuses that I'd need special curatives to clear, or should I just face his first form with nothing but mushrooms and healing items?
I went in and it took about 5 minutes and a fuckload of curatives to get just 2 bars down.

augments are class-wide, meaning you can equip warrior augments as a sorcrer as long as you played warrior before, but they're not party-wide.
I couldnt tell you if it does make pawns perfect blocking more often though, thats a tricky thing.

I don't usually pick pawns with a bunch of different buffs, instead I go for one specific buff that I know I'll need. Then again, I'm early on, so I don't know if that's a bad idea.

Scather/Guardian is not very good on a mage, anon.

Guardian causes the pawn to try to stay close to the Arisen at all times, the last thing a melee character wants out of a mage. Utilitarian is good on Mage as it encourages buffing.

It's like an on-demand Torpor except it pretty much stops enemies completely, basically a very handy disable that can give you some time to get your shit together or exploit a weakness.

It's very good and one of the things Mages have over Sorcerors, but tends to suffer from "neveruse-itis" since pawns seems to consider it on the basis of damage type (Dark which nothing is weak to) instead of its disable portion. You have to teach it manually for them to spam it but when they do it's really decent.

I noticed when I switched my Mage Pawn to fighter that it retained a sort of forced distance from enemies it had learnt from its own actions/my ranged arisen, and that being a melee class didn't override that instinct without placing a Scather primary.

Mages dont have Lassitude and Sorcerors don't have Grapnel.

It's worth mentioning however that Rusted Staffs can trigger torpor on multi-hit attacks you can just use that if you're more reliant on the stagger/effects of your spells than the damage itself.

Damage on casters is extremely overrated anyway, it's far better to have one that just spams disables or heals and then have all your other pawns be pure DPS. If your Pawn has to be buffing and healing it won't even have time to cast an offensive spell unless it's a quick Comestion.

it's based off of XP. for instance if you kill diamon, who is worth 160,000XP the base RC amount would be 16000(10%, is the defult amount off of XP,and it doesn't change)

however their are modifiers, for instance if a pawn is decently lower, the pawn will get a certain percentage less, and a pawn that does more, or that is the highest level will get additional RC.

It's actually counter-intuitive. It promotes healing even if you only are missing a sliver of health.

Make it Util/medi and it will heal, but be more likely to buff/throw a dps spell than heal your missing 4% hp
