Trying to get flashcart working.
I've got rxTools and downloaded miniPasta. as well.

What I've tried:
CTRoot ->miniPasta-> (It auto reloads back into CTR because of menuhax)-> HBL->FBI->Install failed
I'm assuming menuhax the problem here

Bypass CTR into sysNAND ->browserhax->miniPasta->(bypass CTR cause I'm option 2)** ->browserhax->HBL->FBI app -> Install failed

CTR->rxMode->Boot into sysNAND option->browserhax-> miniPasta-> (bypass CTR cause I'm option 2)** ->browserhax->HBL->FBI app-> Install failed

I don't even fucking know anymore. Is option 2 the problem? Or just menuhax overall?

Is there another way to install this? I have rxTools and the right .app/.tmd. Is there a reason I can't install it straight from the rxTools Advanced menu?

If I format the sysndand in order to unlink the nands. How much of my shit will get effected?

I think eShop games can't be updated via eShop because their updates work differently from digital retail games. eShop games updates change the whole game instead of adding just extra content, and as you actually haven't bought it it can't update. You just have to find a more up to date .cia.

Deleted my Nintendo 3DS folder because I couldn't extract Monster Hunter and Fantasy Life saves despite using extdata extractors and Savedatafile extraction. Figured if I reinstalled CIAs and redid that folder, the programs would find it.

Now I can't install .CIAs. I was told that I need to open eshop to get into it, but rxtools doesn't have eshop access and Homebrew Hax has an eshop option but when I click it it sits on the eshop screen background but does nothing.

Should I just put my Nintendo 3DS folder back on there and not fool with it, or is there some way to extract those saves and I'm just fucking up? Savedatafile says "broken" for those saves, and extdata extractor says cannot find location of the files so I figured my old 3DS saves are mixing with the new emuNAND and fucking them up.

This has been a struggle for days, and if anyone can help me I'd be extremely appreciative.

Find Alpha Sapphire (it should be 011C5, it's some of the last numbers in the titleid which you could find at 3dsdb.com if you wanted to do it yourself).
Press R+X. Make sure the bottom screen says "delete secure value" and accept.

I've just made a discovery.

As i posted in last thread, i did a system transfer and all my games installed in emunand had the Grey X of death over them.

I redownloaded a terraria CIA and went to reinstall it, and lo and behold it said title already installed, and when i checked the home menu there it was.

I guess i save the time of re-installing everything, but i still have to redownload all the CIAs... now im going to keep them in a folder on my pc i guess, in case this happens again.

Finally managed to get it work. Tested my first game Super Mario 3D.

Just want to say thank you to all the people that helped answer retard questions that I've asked over the past several days.

Here are my notes:

1. N3DS - took me I think 5 or 6 days to make it work. Tried 5 times, trying I mean by upgrading then downgrading again. really frustrating.

2. Used the Cakeguide http://pastebin.com/EDvmCBzU the Cakepack has almost all of the tools you need just update the homebrew apps to their latest version. FBI in particular and add Decrypt9 as well

3. Mistakes. I followed the retard guide blindly. I didn't take the time to understand the system or what's being done or why even a little bit. after several frustrated attempts and was finally reading I then understood the file settings and what I'm doing wrong

4. Backup! most importantly after the downgrade, after dumping SysNAND.bin and after installing the CFW. One of the things that made me redo stuff was the menu fucking up. I'm a perfectionist and I really don't like it when things are out of order. so backup as much as possible. Restoring is as easy as pasting the files anyway.

5. When asking questions give out the details as much as possible. A Screenshot would be awesome.

6. Answer questions if you can and help out others. You were a noob once too.

2) How do I go about installing updates to certain games if I need to? Will updating my emuNAND to the latest official version through the system and then updating those games as needed work?

First of all, you gotta make sure you've go emunand set properly. To do that open rxtools holding L, and start it by picking the emunand option. If it loads emunand without any errors then you've got it running properly. Then you just have to open sysnand and format it. Turn your 3DS on without the sdcard on it, and format it. After it's done just turn it off, put the sdcard in, turn it on, start rxtools and boot into emunand, then update it.

The same thing was happening to me because I got stuck thinking I had set my emunand properly when I didn't - I was actually using RX-E sysnand the whole time.

Whenever you exit System Settings, your 3DS automatically completely reboots itself (After saving any settings you changed/made). This happens in both sysNAND and emuNAND, so there isn't much of a way to fix it I think.

1) Unlink the nands. Put the CIA in whereever you want in the SD card. make a cia folder for easier access. go into FBI or BBM and press install and then delete the CIA since you dont need it anymore. you only play it in Emunand

2) Update the fucking EmuNand unless you are on n3ds then i dunno. In any case get the Update CIA for the game and install it same way as a game. if you are on old3ds then update the EmuNand to 10.3.

3) Yes there is if you want eshop back but you really dont need eshop anymore.

I think emunand + sysnand + basic stuff takes like 2.5GB on the sdcard. You could get a game on it but you have to transfer the cia AND have space for it to install afterwards (so if you put a 1GB cia on it, you'd still have to have a free 1GB to install it)

You'd better off starting over, it's not a big deal after you've got it the first time. Just backup your sdcard, put in a new one, install emunand and format it again, then copy everything to the new sdcard

Just replace the system.dat with this one in svdt, and now the game will ask you whenever it boots if you want to play regular or Master Quest without having to beat the game first.

The Master Quest is the GameCube Master Quest, completely mirrored, and you take double damage from enemies. It's pretty cool.

So I got ctrboot to work. EXCEPT

Whenever I hold "y" (my menuhax trigger) when i'm starting the system, it boots to sysNAND, like it's supposed to.

When I do nothing, it boots to ctrbootmanager->cakes->ctrbootmanager->freeze

When I do nothing then ctrbootmanager->cakes->then hold "Y" it boots to emuNAND

So I got it to work, but it's supposed to boot to emuNAND without having to do that. What the hell did I do wrong? I mean, it's fine, but i'd prefer not doing that. Does anyone know a fix?

As requested in the previous thread, here are my theme settings. The bottom screen keeps saving with tons of white lines through it. I've tried changing the bottom screen frame type but that just turns the white lines, into various lines of the other scroll images (in this case, the same image, as I want a static image on both screens).
