Hey not sure how much a gold Morde main matters to you but I hope I can help.

Go AP and bursty. Thunderlords of course. It's really good for later when you're smashing your abilities to nuke someone to get their ghost.

Start Doran shield. The bit of extra hp and resistances are a big help in the few minutes where you're most vulnerable. I.e. before you get your hextech revolver. If you trust your botlane go teleport. If you even slightly doubt them go ignite. You're immobile as fuck and need to go hard for kills since you're not getting away.

Ideal builds (in my opinion) look something like this

WoDA
Ludens Echo
Sorc boots
Zonyas Hourglass (always get even vs all ap)
Void Staff
Situational (Rylais if your team has very little cc and laundry mask if there's a six item Mundo slapping your team in the dick)

Since being able to put your Creeping Death on friendly minions again he feels better top. I hope this helps.

i have been asking in the last 3 /lolg/ threads why boots of swiftness are everywhere this LCS weekend, and nobody has been able to give a legit answer. possibilities include:

- le ubiquitous spooky ghosts, except they were just nerfed and people build them even when no one has spooky ghosts (e.g. TSM has a few with swiftness right now despite no spooky ghosts, and other teams have as well)
- le balanced impassable terrain of many slows, but again, people have been building swiftness even when there is no trundle
- "they're cheap xD" was one half-assed reason the casters implied, which sounds great except that they're only 300g cheaper and leave your big tanks open to 3+ seconds of chained crowd control because they didn't get any tenacity. also ninja tabi are a thing in Season 6: League of Marksmen, and even lucidity boots share the same price tag but offer more combat effectiveness
- "the koreans did it first" -- not sure if they started this meme, but if they did, they had to have a reason as well

They're cheap. Most stuns in the game were nerfed. Slows weren't and even got buffed. They give you give you a lot of speed.

Movement-speed is one of the best stats in the game. Buffing the one item that gives you a lot of movement-speed without sacrificing damage or a LOT of tankyness = league of swifties.
