The case was Turnabout Hairspray, which is archived on Guardly's twitch highlights. Long story short prosecution was on suicide watch after a pretty solid asspull on the defense's part, so both Teikan and Edgeworth were losing their collective shit.

I'll always laugh at these screenshots, they're great out of context but even better if you were there for the case.

They're similar in that they're both ad-libby. I don't know how far Area 3 is, I'm assuming early as I think they just finished with the detective or are currently with the first witness.
Area 2 is in the middle of preparations, but witnesses are all filled up.

The easiest way is to play the games and/or spectate some cases to get a feel for how it all works
Join as either detective or support defense.
If a case has pre-written testimony for a detective, that's the role for you. If it's improv testimony, you'll want to join as a support def/support pro. Keep up with the testimonies as best you can, keep on the look out for contractions between two statements or a statement and a piece of evidence. If your lead doesn't notice the contradiction, Pipe up and say "Hey, Nick, doesn't this statement sound kind of wrong? Even when you look at this piece of evidence?"

These cases have two DAs, to Prosecutors, and then Defense has like, some cheerleader on the sidelines. Why? What purpose does this serve? I get that you have one of those in the video games, but the lead Defense player already has a co-counsel, so why do they also need a Maya?

New guy here. How is the defense ever supposed to actually win this? The AA games rely on a tightly-knit narrative with very specific holes in witness testimonies that very specific pieces of evidence slowly erode. If everyone's improvising from the start with a vague idea of what happened, its kind of hard for something as tight as the stories from say, Turnabout Serenade or Turnabout Trump being whipped up on the fly

It kind of seems like the DA just has to pull insane theories out of their ass and hope everyone rolls with them

Pros don't need to reply every time the DA opens their mouth.

If you watch some actual Ace Attorney CE gameplay, you'll probably be surprised to see that the Prosecutor keeps their mouth shut during most of the CE.

I finished editing all of Young Shields's idle sprites to fit within the game properly!

I'll definitely finish him sometime today.

I was made aware that there is already a Young Shields out there, but his animations don't lead into one another very well (and the buttons are sort of unappealing) so I plan to make this Young Shields perfect, hopefully in time to make it into the next update.
