I'm thinking of a little project here. I just got out of high school but I was unable to join a college because I failed the admittance tests. So I need to study on my own to succeed this year.

Bethesda was butthurt another company made a better, more refined game in a series they didn't even own anymore, so they conveniently pretended New Vegas didn't exist.

I actually don't know the reason why there's nothing from NV in 4. They began development of 4 before NV was released. But they still should have taken pointers from NV. And I imagine they're at least a little butthurt over it.

I beg your pardon, I rigged a skeleton ragdoll from FO4 to be a re-animated horror and have made a 20 minute tutorial on how to correctly port NV and FO3 nifs to FO4, I think a jumpsuit with cleavage would be easy as fuck. It depends on what kind of games you're into, I suppose.

I grew up on 90s tactical combat and 4X games, so I'm no stranger to clunky interfaces and controls, reams of text, or complexity that could have been cut while only losing a little bit of actual functionality, so I liked it. The writing and world are interesting and varied enough to hold your attention, and you do get the feeling that your choices (in character generation more than the game itself, admittedly) are having a tangible effect on your play experience.

That said, Wasteland 2 backers wanted an oldschool experience and by God, did they get it. If you can handle Fallout 1 and 2, you can handle Wasteland 2, but if you've never had to deal with that kind of experience before, I'd advise caution. Check out a gameplay video or something first, at least.

So uh, I have a quest to clear out the ghouls from the National Guard Training Yard for the County Crossing settlement.

Think is, it doesn't give me an objective. I killed every single ghoul inside and out, and it doesn't complete either.

Unarmed is complete trash, outside of the deathclaw gauntlet and melee is OP, but the weapon variety isn't nearly as good as NV imo. Plus, once you get Grognak's axe and Kremvh's Tooth, the others are pointless.

Melee is trash, unarmed is worse.

Blocking is riposte style which I thought was cool, until I realized how long the cooldown between being able to block is, and the fact that it just doesn't work at all haf the time.

There's very little weapon variation, and piss-poor modability.

That being said I'm doing a melee run and having a gas anyways. If you want a halberd the closest thing is a pool cue with the "Sharp" mod on it.
