Deleting the cache after removing mods is just to make sure the game doesn't think the mod is still in there, so I'm not talking about what you're thinking about at all.

Move all of your mods to another folder on your desktop or something, delete the cache
If it does work, put your mods back in slowly until it breaks
Run the game and see if it's fixed
If it still doesn't work, try taking out your saves and seeing if those are corrupted
If it still doesn't work, you need to repair the game or go to EA about it

When they change something in game code, some mods are bound to break. It's not up to EA to give support for things modders do, or try to keep their future updates compatible with all of the mods. That wouldn't make any sense.

it baffles me, too. Are they afraid that their competitor wouldn't be as good, Sims as a whole already isn't that great, the only reason it's popular is because it's a huge cash cow. We need someone to tip said cow by offering something better, with more features and options, updates that add content without having to change code. Before you make a sim, you have to make a world for them to live in. How much friends and players can mess woith the world would depend on whether the world's permissions are set to edit or play-only. PVP would be as simple as an on or off command, sims become townies by having the game clone them or use them from a saved bin.

I'm aiming for something that's like The Sims on steroids. With more customization than TS3, and add onto that weather and supernatural beings in the base game, if you create a god, you can smite NPCs and townies, preform miracles(cure diseases, heal wounds, bring people back to life, magic) as well as preform immaculate conceptions, which would give you an achievement called "Keep in yer' pants, Zeus". Who you are able to make pregnant is set via a settings menu.

"elements from Risk" is more EU IV, CK II is more of a "child murder and incest simulator", it is more about people and their relations compared to other strategies than just county management.
Paradox tend to be a bit jewish about their DLC akin to Maxis, but they if they are ever going to get their hands on making a Sims competitor, it's going to be a better product than Sims anyway.

You could make it work the same as Technic launcher does for minecraft. Have multiple instances of the game for different servers that require different modpacks. Except you don't have to copy over the entire game if modding would work the same way as it does for sims, just launch the game including a mod folder required by the server. Separate that from singleplayer mods where player could throw in anything.
Syncing mods across all players on servers would never work because mods can be incompatible.

Sims 4 is... decent. It's a very different game to the Sims 3, and both do some things very well, and other things not so well.

Be warned Maxis is insisting on sticking with their "vision" for the Sims 4, which mostly means Young Adults are the focus, and all your Elders are gonna be wandering around the dozens of nightclubs in obnoxious YOLO gear, and despite saying that their stuff/expansion packs were gonna lay down the framework for future gameplay, every pack's core gameplay is pretty much self-contained.

How are you running the 1.13.106 patch??? Every torrent I've seen is on the 1.13.104 patch.

To answer your question, though, you're not missing out on any mods that are absolutely essential to gameplay. I've personally only had trouble with a couple mods by Weerbesu (http://modthesims.info/m/166102) and Devilgurl (http://modthesims.info/member.php?u=3636872), and that's because said mods run at 1.13.106, not 1.13.104.

The first Rodeo is always the hardest.

I got the Get Together expansion pack and decided to continue a game I started back when I got the base game with Mr. Bean and his wife as well as his infant son Junior. I deleted my Dr. Who sims as there are better ones out there now and my Ashens sim, which I made, errored so I had to remove him.

So many British inspired characters and people. So glad for the new neighborhood.

Little did I realize that all of my sims including Mr. Bean and his wife Nora got fat. So I decided maybe this was the perfect time to jump into the new Club gameplay by having Bean join a fitness club.

I wish I had the money to get Spa Day though.
