What level should you be when doing the dlc on a new character, because when I first did the dlc I was ng++ so it was at a pretty high level. As far as End, I have a BL137 (99 arc) that has 12 End. I would advise to ~20. I use no stam runes though, as I use Oedon Writhe and 1 stam for PvP or all 3 Oedon Writhe.

I also advise against a 99 arc or don't do it altogether, but I just find it very boring unless you're doing random invasions.

I think its because you can't use the chalice you get from Ebrietas unless you do a lot of dungeon diving. It is pretty awful design though. It'd be better if the dweller gave you a key after you send a person or two to the Chapel.

There was actually an interesting theory I had heard that stated that the MP is an evil Great One, antagonistic to the rest. The theory stated that the MP started the beast scourge in Loran, which created lightning beasts (Paarl, Loran Darkbeast, Abhorrent Beast). But when you kill BSB there's a bagman on the 'cliff' above Yahragul entrance, one bit closer to Cathedral ward, near one of it's entrances and one that crossed that door and left it open is roaming the street below where you drop down and kill Beast possessed soul.
That's why the door leading to abandoned workshop / upper cathedral is open.

What is your favorite weapon in terms of moveset, /bbg/? Regardless of how good/bad the weapon actually is.

For me it would be the Beast Cutter; there is something extremely satisfying about using its tricked mode. If the tricked R2 attacks were faster it would be downright broken.

I'm okay with them being as slow as they are, but I just wish the hitbox lingered a little bit. It always burns seeing someone dodge forward through an R2 as it slams down and still being in the weapon's collision when it hits the ground, but safe because the hitbox expires so early. Especially considering the fact that the recovery has hyperarmor for some reason, so if somebody punishes you with a saif or rakuyo, they can get 2 or 3 hits while you're animation locked without staggering you.

Also if the tricked R1s had faster recovery, they'd be perfect.

I don't understand how you think 20 end will fix that. At most, 18 extra stamina will get you one more swing on a heavy weapon (untricked saif, your threshold, gets one more R1 before hitting negative stamina). Str weapons are meant to hit hard. You don't need to R1 spam in this game.
Kirk tricked R1s get exactly 3 swings at 12 end with a rune. At 20 with the same rune, you get 4 before going into negative stamina. Do you think you can accomplish anything great with that 4th swing in your R1 mash?
