I feel like the people pushing for it the most have just seen LoL and DOTAs success and want to get in on those eSports funbux.

That said, I feel like fighting games are way easier to understand in layman's terms than LoL. At its most basic, each player controls the character, and the first to get the knockout wins the round, winner of the match is best 2/3 or 3/5, and tournaments up until the Finals operate on 2/3 matches to advance. Some of the decision making by the players may not make sense, but if I turned on a LoL stream right now I wouldn't understand any of it unless someone was explaining everything the entire time.

Did the game feel laggy to you? I had to change monitor for this PC and get some 10 years old piece of junk and I think it may lag out the ass because it felt like I had to delay my combos quite a bit, but I haven't played in a while so I may just be imagining things/remembering wrong.
