The padding is really absurd, if not for that it'd be worth reading I think. As it stands I would only recommend it to military otakus. Though they would probably be pissed at the simplified military complex? And all the SOL? This really isn't a game for anyone it seems. In fact, I would say GKG is really crippled by its own adherence to modern standards of game design. You simply can not have a functional military setting with only THREE adult characters. What the fuck were they thinking? Though, that still isn't nearly as big of an issue as the padding.

However, all that said, at least I'm having fun reading it. Critically it falls apart but as a fun little VN it's fine, the author is pretty good at making jokes.

My honest opinion at the current moment is all the fans of moege are people who haven't read a lot of VNs. If you remember that poll from awhile ago, 90% of people or so have read less than 50 VNs. For awhile, EOPs haven't had too many really good moege, like Hoshimemo was like just about it for awhile, Kira Kira too I suppose. So then, this year, PE, Noble works, Koichoco, a bunch of high quality moege come out and everyone's like holy SHIT moege are great, but honestly, that's just because they haven't read too many moege yet. The first ones are always the best. After that they get boring and you need better moege. Which is not Libra, which is not a lot of what's getting attention. So when, I hope, people notice that moege tend to be pretty repetitive and dull, an anti-moege sentiment sparks.

He's expanded too quickly and did the same thing localizers did with anime in the 90s - speedrelease all the greats for mediocre profit due to rushed translations and a lack of financial pacing for the consumer (meaning fewer people will pick it up on release), expand localization enough to carry all these titles to the point of outstripping the creation of new above-average VNs and form a negative reputation for doing this.

Soon they'll realize that there aren't enough widely salable, excellent VNs that producers are willing to allow filthy gaijin to translate for a reasonable price, and so their entire, unsustainable and poor-quality translation segment will implode along with the future of the company.

Well, most people would think a Takumi Nakazawa game would be a slam-dunk considering the fandom around Uchikoshi's games, how most of Takumi's other, earlier works were translated and enjoyed by tens of thousands, and how legitimately good Root Double is.

The problem is that half the active userbase hates Sekai Project at this point, it's obvious that there's already a planned release so the Kickstarter is irrelevant, the rewards are shit so basically the only people who are funding it are either at the $30 or $60 tier, and barely anyone knows about it.

Sekai Project is soooo depressingly mismanaged. If I was at the reins it'd be stupidly easy to corner this market with minor investor support (like dovac has), but nope.
