I just got an over %31 attack up at low hp, but it's the first I've ever seen that is nourishing style instead of just boosting physical and it makes me want to get korean with a base vit hyper character but I'm not sure what weapons would be ideal for a really high nourishing boost to split damage

I was think wheel and HMS? wheel would also be nice for draining my hp to hyper range. I also really want at least 50 skl because I will definitely need visceral cheese to make it through some of the more difficult content.

Except that, on the surface, the healing church doesn't worship a specific God. They worship the Old Blood and minor deities like Oedon are only lumped under their umbrella because of their relationship (whether real or imagined) to the blood.

That's why the title of Vicar is interesting, because it implies that there is some being there that serves as the Healing Church's tetragrammaton or rightful regent despite them not being , at least outwardly, a primarily theistic organization.

DLC lanterns are a real quick farm.
Run up and kill the first one, pick up the drop while you pop like a zit, and then run and kill them second one.

The 2nd proc of frenzy ought to go off right after you pick up your 2nd drop, which kills you and lets the brains reload to continue farming. Do this until you have the gems you want.

If frenzy procs too fast and kills you, just put on a resistance rune and some frenzy resist gear.

The "Old Blood" was jacked out of some big horrific beast and used because it has positive effects, like treating incurable illness and being an addictive opium substitute. It turning people into beasts is just an unfortunate side effect of blood use but the 'beast scourge' is never normally some kind of apocalyptic pandemic that destroys whole towns. A few people now and again go all beasty and the public at large picks a night to shut all the doors go 'cleanse the streets' to keep the beast population under control.

The whole thing exploded because of the Mensis ritual. It's not like people using the blood had any idea that one day some group of crazy scholars would summon the moon and turn every blood user into a monster.

arc just scales up its projectile/bullet consumption attacks mostly

ideally you do want 50/25 str/skl no matter what though
from there you can even use skl leaning quality weapons if you put heavy abyssals in them

church pick with str abyssals on a 50/25 actually has 6 higher AR than a church pick on a 25/50 with 27.2% gems (but skl still wins out when you put thrust gems on it by a pretty wide margin)

the point being, you will get the most utility and weapon variety with 50/25

you could just barely squeeze down to BL98 if you just went 50/25, but having base stamina on a quality build would kind of suck, at least for pvp

I don't really pay attention to BL98 because it's kind of an obscure meta. I have a few 98s but most of my builds end up being around 105 and I've been fine with that. It's not like 148 can't invade 98 anyway and if you did end up invading a BL150, they would most likely be a shitter anyway and therefore an ez kill.

Because it takes its inspiration material seriously, some of its inspo material is gothic novels, some of it is old seinen mangas, and both have tons of nice girls in them.

But generally I think it's because the devs cared about making interesting characters more than about reaching a target demographic.

They aren't kawaii uguu, they aren't complete sluts, they aren't stronk womyns, they aren't cheap rehashes of other vidya girls, they're just nice or cool girls, and their character design isn't over-the-top bullshit gothic fashion as seen by clueless japs, it's believable, characterful and elegant.

The axe isn't really an arcane weapon. It's much, much better for strength. At +10 it does 196 damage, it has a good, wide swing on the L2, it has nice reach and regain. Plus the charged R2 knocks down and staggers a lot of enemies.

If you're going for an arcane build, Cane and Saw Spear are better weapons to choose.

Against mobs, with those wide, heavy slashes, great. Against bosses, not so great, at least for me. I've found speed always helps me more than anything else, so I'd find a speedier weapon for bosses and upgrade it as best as you can. There's another blood rock in the DLC, plus chalice dungeons and you can buy them for 60 Insight if you really need it.

It's obvious that, no matter how related to Maria she may be, she doesn't react the way a real human would: she's never afraid, and always keeps her calm even when emotionally shaken.

Moreover, what do we know about the Great Ones? We know that they're compassionate, and don't choose their agents at random. If Gehrman has a role to fulfill, it can only be due to his own experience and insight; but if the Great Ones were to appoint a magical medium for new hunters it would necessarily have to share their own characteristics and attitude, but in a more humanly relatable way (since the Great Ones are insane, they can't communicate their intents properly). The doll is this being: she has a relationship to blood echoes that can only be explained by the meddling of the Great Ones and can effectively serve as their emissary by being to you what the Great Ones are supposed to be to humanity, but in a saner way. It's not Gehrman who could have given her this ability because he would do it himself if he could.

For all those reasons I think the doll actually uses the power of love to channel blood echoes.
