So I bitched out bros, switched to Normal. Fuck it, seems like i'm missing how fun the combat/bosses is with playing full bitch mode trying to avoid getting one shotted.

Btw, people playing on hard mode, you CAN switch back to normal without restarting. Just die and then choose "restart on normal", it will warn you that you can't switch to hard mode again or else you will have to redo the whole game but that should be it. So, you don't have to force yourself to play hard bros.

Since the save file probably won't transfer I won't be meddling with DDDA until Friday, then I'll finalize my Greek Statue arisen (if I don't have another idea in the meantime) and post sliders and stuff. If you want to steal the look and post the sliders in my place please do, I might make a different version.

As a side note, what's the best way to skip the "tutorial"? I could sprint through most of it only having to kill the Chimera and the arpies with goblins, is there anything else I could skim?

That's a surprisingly creative idea, even if it's not perfectly statue-like due to the tone difference between hair and skin. But if it's the best the CC has to offer, it's still good.

here is what I did in order to fool around with sliders

>create your arisen (use premade if you don't wanna waste time on this already)
>play through tutorial
>play up until you reach the encampment (literally 2 minutes after tutorial)
>do cutscene there, defeat ogre "boss"

now when you go back into the tent with the pawn stone thing, save your game as you will be able to create your pawn. alt tab out, locate your savefile (depends on your pirate version), make a backup

>now tab back in, create your pawn (same process as creating the arisen, same sliders and all that jazz)
>take note of sliders etc.
>finish creation process
>look at your pawn in the flesh (there is a cutscene right after)
>hear his/her voice while doing the teamwork tutorial etc

Now if you want to have another try at character creation, just restore your save game backup and build another pawn

I dont get the hype. Im trying to like it, but the world is terrible.

The quests are really bad, the Boss fights are cool as fuck.

The Game world is hands down the most boring, empty soulless husk ive ever encountered, but the pawn system is pretty cool although it feels more could have be done with that system.

The combat against bosses is really cool, but the classes feel limited and fight against normal enemies can be Tedious.

What concerns me the most is the game world and the quests, its really boring, empty and nothing is going on.

Hard Mode might as well be called ez level mode, the only reason you might want to do it is for the Duke's Clothes or if you want to instantly trivialize money.

You can do BBI whenever you want, though going in below 40 or so is basically for challenging yourself. However, people have done the BBI challenge before, where you basically rush to get in it and then never leave. It starts rough but once you can get a BBI-tier weapon it lets up considerably.

had the same problem. for the solution, you have to cycle back and forth between the menus (deleting a character, being forced back a menu, going back to your name, deleting another character, etc.). And then when you get all the characters deleted, the game resets your Actual Name to whatever your Nickname is set to (the lower name in that menu). So what you want to do is pick a Nickname with the first letter of the Actual Name you want to change the name to, so when it fills in the Actual Name, you can prune it down again to the first letter and FINALLY type your shit in.

Ok mates, I played this game years ago on the triple, was a rogue type and ended up being an assassin (daggers + bow). It was really fun to climb monsters and shit but for the PC release I need something new, something fresh.

I hear about warrior being not viable and only having 3 skills, is that true? What about sword and board? Is it fun? Can I kill hardmode ogres with either of them?

I guess something I haven't ever really touched in the PS3 version was mages and sorcerors. I did a few magick archery and magick knighting just to see what they have to offer but I didn't really like either of them, Magick archer was too close to my regular bowing (of course it's all fancy and shit) and magick knight was underwhelming to me at least. Can anyone be so kind as to sell me on either of these classes? I'll take any and all input into consideration

What Vocation you level as doesn't matter THAT much. You wouldn't want to level as a Vocation's opposite for 100 levels and then play as that Vocation. But 10,20, 30 levels of whatever isn't going to ruin your game.

I noticed a little bug in the PC version, nothing absolutely game breaking though.

When I set the resolution to 1360x768, a little dead pixel or something shows up at the top left corner of the screen when playing. If I change the resolution to something else or open up a menu, then it disappears but it reappears after closing the menu or reverting back the resolution.

Bear in mind when looking at these that, (IMO), 100 Def is worth far more than 100 Str, as is 100HP.

Also, if you're planning for the endgame, figure that you'll be adding ~1500 to your Str or Magic stat, so that extra 100-200 really doesn't mean that much.
