Why is Cakes better than rxTool?

Need some help, I'm trying to upgrade to a bigger SD.

Do you need anything else other than the Launcher.dat in the new SD to access the Gateway Menu on the 3DS?

That's literally all I have on the new SD and the Gateway menu is failing to load every time I try going through the 3DS browser.

Just be sure to follow the folder structure. The easiest way is to just dump your themes into the examples folder and use that. Also my bitdefender went crazy when it packed the cia so you might have to disable your antivirus.

With a gateway, you can use a BBM .3ds file to install sysupdater to sysnand while in gateway sysnand mode. Make sure that you don't actually use sysupdater in gateway though, only in rxtools devmode/pasta mode. To enter gateway sysnand mode you need to go into the gateway boot menu and then hold B when selecting the first option.

So everything works. I can play 3DS games and jump around the menus. Though I do think I fucked up at some point.

When in the boot manager selected the homebrew or pasta does nothing but send me directly to redscreen. Now I've never needed to go into pasta, but I've been able to skip the homebrew issue by just going into my files from the bootmanager and just directly selecting brew.3dsx and it opens up. Any simply file replacement I can do to fix this?

Plus i'm unsure but won't I need to fix this somehow if I want to enter sysnand with sign checks disabled [/spoiler] Or maybe thats just a stupid question, been looking into GBA installation and I get stuck there.
