Okay everything is there and installed but I can't tell if EmuNAND is working or not. I tried playing around with the themes to see what's going on.

If I boot normally, regular 3DS menu. If I boot using Cakes then I have a 3DS menu with a red theme I put on it. Neither system menu has RX in front of the version number.

Is it okay to enable TubeHax on my emuNAND, or will that break my cia installations and shit?

I keep getting "Failed to get CIA file info", except I'm using the exact same folder I used when I did it earlier. I tried recopying it thinking that maybe something got deleted somehow, but a dozen attempts later and I got the same error again. I really wish to stress that I'm using the exact same "updates" folder which worked previously in the correct position. There is no possibility of this being user error.

Some dude on reddit said I needed to "reset your dbs folder in sysNAND", but I have no clue what that means.

Self-updating. Should be fine with your saves. Just make sure it's the right update for the right region. Some games require you to install updates in canoncial order (i think? if not then every) like smash/mh4u

Correct. If you want to support the dev spoof eshop with NVER/TIGER and buy or just get the cart and dump it via gateway menu, then convert .3ds to .cia with some tool via google (it exists, dunno the name)

After installing and booting Majora's Mask in RXTools, I get forced back to the home menu with a message saying "an error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart".

I saved it. Took me a couple of tries till I realize the NNID I was suppose to use was the one I had on my emuNAND, and then it worked perfectly

Once you have set up your CFW:

1. Backup your emuNAND.
2. Backup all emuNAND files (ticket.db etc.) with rxTools.
3. Backup the content of your SD card.
4. Format emuNAND.
5. Recover your SD card content and boot rxTools in emuNAND.
6. Update to 10.3.0-28X and boot into emuNAND again.
7. Go to system settings and to NNID at the top; follow instructions.
8. Boot emuNAND and start the eShop; simply restart the 3DS if it keeps looping after the password input.
9. Once in the eShop, close it and shut down.
10. Recover your whole SD card once more. *
11. Inject emuNAND backup.
12. Inject all emuNAND file backups.
13. Start the eShop in emuNAND and it should refresh your software.
14. And now you should have emuNAND eShop access without any loss of StreetPass/Save/Friend/etc. data.

* Might not be necessary.

You're trying to set up autoboot on N3DS? Make sure you deleted any 10.3-related payloads from root. You also need CTRBootManager's boot.3dsx and boot.cfg on root. Get boot.3dsx from the starter.zip, which is the homebrew launcher. Name it to some 4-character filename like fuck, cunt, shit, etc

Open boot.cfg in a text editor and replace "boot_hb.3dsx" with your file.3dsx

Try again and see if that works. If it gives you a red screen, try again: probably just bad luck (should work every time after that though)

You could try removing your Nintendo 3ds folder off the card, then installing it, then moving the folder back and merging it. Do a backup before you do that if it fucks up.

Screw that, use SaveDataFiler.cia and let it manage (decrypt, even) your saves to SD:/filer

you can use this method to move saves between 3DSes+sd cards+your computer, too
