So what is the point of fighting the Nyx Avatar? If Nyx is undefeatable when why send the avatar down to fight, or for it to fight at all?

At first I thought it was because of the death arcana but then the death shadow already left the MC when Pharos fucked off. I then thought it's because of the fool arcana since you didn't fight a fool arcana shadow.

Then I remembered none of that matters because fighting the Nyx Avatar doesn't release the arcana shadows. If that was the case then the world wouldn't be destroyed if you chose the bad ending, because you don't fight the Nyx Avatar for the shadows to be released, with Nyx only being called down anyway because the arcana shadows were already released.

Point being - Nyx Avatar was pointless.

But why would it fight them? If it can't be defeated then what was the point? It could have summoned Nyx with no issue. If the SEES were actually causing a problem then why not just kill them immediately? Why change arcana's? All it does is float a bit up into the sky and it shows Nyx is already there.

It didn't really matter if it got delayed by a few minutes, the summoning process may have involved the arcana change in that order and the fight just happened because it could, it was pretty malevolent at this point and probably got a bit of pleasure out of the whole fight. its clear they weren't any form of threat as once its defeated it just shrugs and brings Nyx down to finish the job.

Enjoy, that costume is great, every time she evokes her persona there's like a 1/3 chance of a complete upskirt shot because the camera angles weren't prepared for it and they put a lot of wind effect on her skirt. It's just shadow down there though.

Only problem with that costume is that she will always comment on how she's uncomfortable wearing it if she gets the last attack in combat, not a problem with the geko girls outfit thankfully.

Does anybody else think that P3's narrative and character development would have been better had Akihiko taken the bullet for Shinjiro?

It would have been cool seeing Shinjiro understand that Akihiko truly only wanted what's best for him, and in his memory stopped doing self-destructive behaviors.

Also watching him give Ken the pep-talk after he failed "his mission" and seeing how their relationship would have proceeded from there would have made Ken a lot less disliked probably

Nyx was written to be malevolent until the Answer retconned it. Also the avatar while a part of Nyx is still a separate entity and seems to enjoy taunting the party showing that its not just emotionless Nyx.

Nyx hadn't been summoned yet either, its not summoned until it bursts out of the moon which takes place after the fight, if you look up during the fight its still a green rock as opposed to the giant space vagina. Its possible fighting it simply accelerated the Arcana change also story and gameplay seperation is a thing or the arcana change could easily simply have happened along side with the actual summoning process we don't see, it would be retarded if it just sat there and let itself get pounded by SEES instead of fighting back while doing the summoning process

As I've said theres plenty of reasons for it to have fought them.

Tactics menu and making sure you scan every enemy fixed literally all of the issues I had with the AI.

I actually like the system now, both because it enhances roleplaying and because the combat in these games is a joke where you just cast fire at the thing weak to fire over and over, so having that stuff be automated was really nice (especially since your party members only exist to absorb hits and cast spells when MC doesn't feel like it)

the only difference between picking agi from a menu and having yukiko cast agi automatically is a second of my life spend shuffling through a menu

same with making her heal or buff vs setting her to heal/buff mode

both systems are inferior to combat that requires you to actually think like dds or nocturne did, but between both games given how easy they are the choice seems pretty obvious.
