I actually have a lot of interest in fictional entities, other dimensions and all that. I stay a little away from quantum stuff, though. I had a class on basic quantum physics and most of it is based on "Well, it behaves like that and we don't have even the slightest idea of why, let's just make something up!". Of course, their ideas are well elaborated and sometimes it even makes sense, but the truth is, we don't know enough right now about it to be relevant knowing this stuff.

Jumping to philosophy, where I think we'll probably be best off, the idea of an infinite universe isn't that new. The possibility of new dimensions and, thus, infinite new dimensions isn't that far fetched and it is even possible. But if we really have infinite dimensions, does that mean that they are all different from one another?
Nietzsche had the idea of the "eternal return" (also present in some religions), which is basically the idea that the Universe repeat itself an infinite amount of times. If this is the truth, it means that the infinite dimensions are just our own universe repeated or recreating itself infinite amounts of time. The katawas would have no place in existence if that is the truth.
Could another dimension have different rules? Our universe works like a game of chess, there are rules in place and the matter, anti-matter, fields and whathever the fuck is out there obey these rules (as far as we know). But can it exist at the same time that breaks this rules? Are these rules set in stone or they could be different in another dimension? We can just ask, because there isn't any answer.

There is also some people who argue about the reality and it's relation to fiction, but I've never read that too much. If you know some stuff about philosophy of mind, I've been recommended to look for Meinong. I'll continue next post.

Going to esoteric stuff, the most interesting stuff about fiction are probably the idea that Alan Moore shares: we create realities that work by themselves when we imagine them and they CAN and DO affect the world. He's a bit crazy, though, but if you are into that he made a lot of volumes in a comic about it (Promethea) and he has a documentary about his life and his magic madness called "The Mindscape of Alan Moore". If you have interest, it can be very nice to watch.

This sort of thing is pretty interesting to me. Currently it doesn't seem reasonable to think we have the capacity to create realities by imagining them, but it's at least plausible to me that future AIs/augmented humans/whatever could simulate a world well enough that the subjects of the simulation are more or less humans themselves. If that future comes to pass, you could well say that the AI/augmented human/whatever is creating the reality they're "imagining", and insofar as it affects the entity that's running the simulation, it affects the real world.

There's also the tangential point that we might exist in such a simulation, but that's honestly not that interesting to me by comparison.

There's a saying. If you see someone's face in your dreams it's either that you miss that person OR that person misses you. It's at least partially true, I know from experience.
There's also a theory that says we only can dream of faces we've seen in real life. So what if the face we see in our dreams is a new one? Or if it's the face of your waifu? Back to the first theory.
People are somehow connected. It might be true that you dream of someone you WILL meet in future, or you just portray that person in your deams as your waifu for now. But this person exists, in this or any other alternate universe. That person probably dreams of you as well, seeing you in dreams. Kindred spirits, soulmates, you know the drill. However you call it, there is someone longing for you, wanting to meet you.
Unfortunately, expanding on the alternate universe theory, that person might exist in this or some another world. Hell, there might be a world where katawas are real and we're just characters in a game they play. But it's also possible that some universes mirror each other, thus mirroring their inhabitants. Means your alternate universe waifu has her version in our world.

Tl;dr people are somehow connected and even if your waifu exists in another dimension, sooner or later you will meet her 'from our world' or someone who reflects her in our world. So don'd lose hope!
