Alright guys I fucked up somewhere, before doing the format for emunand I copied all my shit and put it in a new folder, then I proceeded to do the format, one finished I copied shit back to the sd and got some wierd error with a shit ton of numbers on my pc. I tried it anyways and now my homebrew doesn't load up, it's just black and red and all my shit is gone

I've got all the files I need downloaded, but step 4 says I should find a folder called "sysUpdater". When I extracted the MEGA file, julian20_libkhax_sysUpdater (the first linked in the guide), I didn't get a folder, but rather two files - sysUpdater.3dsx and sysUpdater.smdh within the default extracted folder with the same name as the archive.

I'm just worried about screwing up folder structure. Should I rename the folder containing the files sysUpdater or just drop the two files into the 3ds folder?

If 10.4 comes out and I have a backup of my emuNAND at 10.3, is there any risk in updating?

I try running the MemChunkHax2 Readiness Test, but I keep softlocking. The output is as follows:

So I'm on n3ds 9.2.0, I've followed the guide to regain access to the eShop but I get the 022-2634 error code, which came from unlinking my NANDs. I've read that I have to also format my emuNAND, then connect to the NNID from there, then restore, but I'm prompted to update.

I've tried using HANS from HBL to spoof the firmware version but it didn't work and got the 022-2511 error.

How can I unlink my emuNAND's NNID, then?

Alright, following this guide I've been able to do everything except one problem: I boot rxtools from the CtrBootManager and it throws me into a boot loop where it just glitches into CtrBootManager again. I've tried several different versions of rxtools. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this didn't happen on the first 3DS I did. Pls.

I made an improved non-kickass starter pack.

It should have everything required point-to-point to get up and running from scratch (pre-downgrade) to rxTools (excluding the firmware files). I also took the liberty of rewriting the firmware .bat file to be more streamlined.

I wrote a pretty thorough readme for the entire process, but some wording is either vague or nonexistent so fleshing out those would be nice.

Also, it works during any part of the process so if you just downgraded and don't know what to do next you could follow along perfectly by starting to set up rxTools.

I just asked a few minutes ago. I had an issue with rxtools and had to redo the process. Instead of having two folders with letters and numbers in the Nintendo3DS folder, I have three. The games I had bought previously don't show up anywhere, but they are taking space. I want to be able to manage them. An anon told me to merge the to merge whatever nand you want them on with the folder from the old nand. Which folder do I merge with which?

DLC will not, and requires NTR
NTR by itself does region free patching for both games and DLC, so if that's all you're using fmp for you can switch to NTR only

Go into your SD-card (on your PC) and rename your emunand folder (Nintendo 3DS/XXXXXXXXXX) to something else.
Now start your 3ds and boot into emunand. It will recreate the folder (but without your installs). This is fine.
Take out your SD-card and go back to your PC. Move all the files from your renamed emunand folder to the one that just got created EXCEPT FOR THOSE THAT CONFLICT. DO NOT MOVE THOSE. IT WILL NOT WORK.

For you guys that downgraded and get a black screen after updating to 9.5 emunand

Thank god I didn't update after 9.20 when the CFW guys said not to. I already had enough fucking trouble getting RxTools without any downgrading

CFW isn't an installation to NAND, when you boot CFW you're just loading the normal firmware and turning off the piracy checks in it (along with patching it for emunand)

o3DS 10.3 emuNAND with rxTools 3.0
every time I try to play something online it gives me this error screen, same problem with Smash, and Triforce heroes
it does login to Nintendo network on Smash, but got the error screen when trying to find a players

A downgrade guide says to looks for pic releated, but I'm on a O3DS and don't get the # steps just straght to "sysUpdater 0.4.2b by profi200" is this right? And do I hit {Y} for downgrade or it also says "Use the HOME button if you rin the CIA version".

So i dumped my sysnand, backed everything up and am now at the step

Don't put internet settings in the sysnand after setting up cfw. Parental control the shit out of sysnand. Make menuhax boot him straight into CFW emunand.

So I tried to update my emuNAND on my N3DS to 9.5 using SysUpdater and the files for 9.5, they installed, but when it rebooted, every time I try load up rxTools it goes to black on top screen, red on bottom.
