Hey guys I had a weird problem. I'm currently following this guide: http://pastebin.com/WVszD3Tm and I got up to step 8 and I couldn't get rxtools to launch again. I tried deleting my browser cache/history and both holding R and not. When I looked at the system settings it no longer said RX 9.2, just regular 9.2. I'm currently reinstalling Gateway and starting from scratch. What went wrong?

if you softbrick you'll have to update to 10.3. if your DNS is set to tubehax it won't be able to connect to the internet properly to download the update and you can't change DNS settings from recovery so you'll be stuck

you can replace your menuhax boot.3dsx (SD root) with the sysUpdate.3dsx. that way you can just boot directly to sysUpdate. should speed up the retries a lot over having to reboot to HBL then launch it

Format whichever one you want formatted. You can do both if you really want.

You have to take the SD card out to avoid deleting your "Nintendo 3DS" folder for whichever one you aren't formatting. If you don't have anything installed, then it doesn't matter.

So I did everything right, from your guides and the sticky ones, I've unlinked my nands and playing pirate games perfectly, not even softbricked once.

I started to miss my eShop, Streetpass and Mii data from before all this and read about cloning sysNAND.

This is my question.
If I started doing everything from a fresh start in emuNAND (creating a profile, new streetpass plaza data, etc) if I clone my sysNAND will it fuck up my emuNAND or it'll just overwrite it without risk of breaking something while still keeping emuNAND safe and unlinked?

What about my pirated games and DLC?

The reason they are linked is because they have the same serial because they are copies of the same system so they are copying all their shit to the same folder.

Whenever you format you get a new serial, and that's the only point of formatting, to make them have different serials.

The only difference between formatting sysnand or formatting emunand is which one gets formatted. If you have games installed and you want to keep them on emunand, then you should format sysnand. That's it.

How do I get custom themes and official Nintendo themes working on my emunand?

Using CHMM2 just applies them to my sysnand. I tried doing it with the option to install custom theme in menuhax and it said it was successful but I still see the standard black theme on my emunand.

Then I downloaded a cia file which has a ton of official Nintendo themes packed in. After I installed it and went into the theme menu in emunand, none of the new themes were listed there.

Please help I just want to have lewd waifus as my 3DS background.

If you follow the thead I linked its actually pretty safe. The only way you can brick is if you fuck-up the updating process WHICH IS NOT A REQUIREMENT to get emunand going.
Updating to 9.0/9.2 just allows you to coldboot. The other way people fuck up is not a) making a nand backup and b) fuckup updating their sysnand instead of their emunand (sometimes by not unlinking their nands).

2) delete any old hax payloads on SD card from when you were on 9.3+(if they're are .bin files on the root of you SD card delete them basically)
